Timbaland

Sues Over Missing Watch ...

Where's My $1.8 Million???

1/26/2013 10:09 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0126-tmz-timbalandTimbaland is still crying over that $1.8 MILLION watch that went missing two years ago (wouldn't you be?) -- and now he's filed a lawsuit against his insurance company ... claiming it REFUSES to cough up the cash to cover his claim.

According to a lawsuit filed against American Home Assurance Company last month, the music mogul claims he paid over $50,000 to take out a policy with AHA back in May 2010. Timbaland says the  policy covered a slew of expensive items, including his Jacob & Co. 18K white gold watch, loaded with over 30 CARATS of diamonds!!!

In the suit, Timbaland claims he lost the watch in August 2010 and filed a claim with AHA -- and even testified under oath that it was missing -- but the company DENIED his request and hasn't paid a dime.

But there's a twist ... this is the SAME watch Timbaland reported stolen two years ago -- which is when his family called the cops ... claiming he was so distraught by the loss they feared he might commit suicide. Timbaland was adamant he never planned to kill himself.

At the time, he told the L.A. County Sheriff's department he felt "someone he knows" stole the bling and they opened an investigation.

In the suit, the rapper says he believes (and testified under oath) it was his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter who "picked [the watch] up and played with it until she became bored and discarded it somewhere."

He adds, "It has never been found."

Timbaland is suing for $1.8 million -- the value of the watch -- plus interest and attorneys' fees.

If he thinks it was his two-and-a-half-year-old daughter who "picked [the watch] up and played with it until she became bored and discarded it somewhere." that means; NO ONE WAS WATCHING THE KID AND IS CHILD ABUSE !!
She could have been playing with his GUN, gotten bored of it and SHOT HERSELF!

The Ghost of John Lennon

Few entertainers in the history of Black America have been able to say that their assets and true net worth were as prominent as their talent and popularity. Sadly, hip-hop is no different. And while hip-hop has produced a handful of millionaires, they are like a teardrop in the Pacific Ocean when compared to the many rappers who, like most Black people, are living “show-to-show” and check-to-check.most rappers are broke; owing more money to their record labels than they have in their bank accounts. As a matter of fact, most contracts for rappers are just as horrible as those for entertainers in other genres where artists sell millions and receive pennies while the record companies make out like fat rats. Who are the owners of these major record companies? Forgive me if I sound monotonous, but they just happen to be Jewish. George wrote Taxman, and I played guitar on it. He wrote it in anger at finding out what the taxman did. He had never known before then what could happen to your money. Typical Tale of the music business!

i agree $1.8 bil is a bit extravagant for a watch, but let's be real...the insurance company had NO QUALMS WHATSOEVER taking his money upfront for the policy. if there wasn't the expectation that they would pay it, then they shouldn't have sold it..
