The Grammys

Celebrities Warned ...

Keep Your Genitals Covered!

CBS doesn't want to see a SINGLE celebrity butt crack at the Grammys on Sunday ... and no boobs or genitals either ... this according to a warning the network fired off to all "talent" appearing on the show.

The email -- which surfaced online -- was sent by CBS Standards and Practices to people connected to the celebrities who are expected to appear on camera during the broadcast ... and the network makes it clear, it's not taking any chances with the FCC this year.

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered," the letter reads.

"Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack."

It goes on ... "Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could  possibly expose female breast nipples."

"Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure. Please avoid commercial identification of actual brand name products on T-shirts."

"Foreign language on wardrobe will need to be cleared. OBSCENITY OR PARTIALLY SEEN OBSCENITY ON WARDROBE IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR BROADCAST. This as well, pertains to audience members that appear on camera.'

But the most shocking part of the letter, CBS does not want talent to wear a lapel pin or any other accessory which contains the name of an organized cause "visibly spelled out."

So, a star can wear a pink ribbon ... as long as it doesn't say "The American Breast Cancer Foundation."

We reached out to CBS -- so far, no word back.

Just because someone lets you see their body doesn't mean that they are looking for sex. That could just be how they are comfortable dressing or what they think looks best on them. What right is it for someone to tell them what is not appropriate to wear?

People dress up for these shows and put alot of thought and effort into their outfits, just to have it all be censored by some morality police. I don't think that is what America stands for.

People have dirty minds if every time they see a body part, they think it is a sexual proposition.

To have a civilized successful society there must be order. For there to be order there must be some limits. People today, especially the younger, want little or NO limits. Everything is ok, whatever they want should be accepted and embraced according to many of them. This is a sure way of destroying a great society.

I can't believe how pathetic this Award's show is getting? First they stop giving out the majority of actual awards, instead inviting artists who aren't even nominated to take the stage (which is ridic) instead of using that time to HONOUR people with actual Grammy awards...now they are telling celebrities what to wear like they are five year olds? Are you kidding me? I don't think I'll even bother recording the show to fast-forward through any more....

They need to fix this ASAP. Slash the number of live performances and invite ONLY artists who are actually nominated or being honoured to perform without exception and start handing out more than 9 awards live on TV. It's an AWARDS show...every single major category should be presented live on TV. And people should be free to wear whatever the hell they want. The academy is showing huge disrespect by not making sure their awards show runs as descrbed above.

It would be nice to see someone who can actually sing and has talent. Bruno Mars has hit a home run the past two years. He is a class act with more talent than all of the other entertainers put together. It seems like most of the others just get up there and put on a freak show.

Whoa, whoa, WOE: CBS, NARAS, RIAA, and BMI, have long violated ANY moral "Code of Standards".
The shameless hypocrisy, is indefensible.
Meanwhile, the "Corporate America" serving
FCC placates and panders to their allied
"Media" associates.

Inconceivable!

Is it that hard for Grammy attendees and participants to dress respectfully for television?! Perhaps Beyonce dancing like a stripper at the Superbowl has CBS on high alert.
