Joe Rogan

Transgender MMA Fighter

CAN'T Fight Women!!!!

Joe Rogan
-- the voice of the UFC -- is taking a stand on transgender MMA fighter Fallon Fox ... saying  there's "no f**king way" she should be allowed to get in the ring with a natural woman.

Rogan unloaded on Fox during his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience" -- saying, "She calls herself a woman but ... I tend to disagree."

He continues, "She used to be a man ... but now she has had, she's a transgender which is (the) official term that means you've gone through it, right? And she wants to be able to fight women in MMA. I say no f**king way."

"I say if you had a d*ck at one point in time, you also have all the bone structure that comes with having a d*ck. You have bigger hands, you have bigger shoulder joints. You're a f**king man. That's a man, OK?"

"I don't care if you don't have a d*ck any more," Rogan added ... "You're a man without a d*ck."

she should be allowed to compete against women, She is a woman, and the hormoes she had taken had affected her body, she can't compete against men. The arguments he is discussing are illogical. Even if she was born a man, she may not have an advantage against women, MMA is also based on skills. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hormone_replacement_therapy_%28male-to-female%29

In a weight class sport, there is no reason that men and women should not fight one another, but men wouldn't be able to handle getting their butt kicked by women so they (men) keep the gender classes to protect the frail male egos. Testosterone levels are tested when doing drug tests so just do the drug tests & if Fallon's testosterone levels fall within the acceptable range for women then let her fight in the WMMA. Just as any athlete who tests outside of the normal range for their specified gender, you don’t get to fight & if said athletes test within the normal range for their specified gender then they get to compete – SIMPLE!! The only fighters at a disadvantage against Fallon are male because she is female. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mfn5As4G5o

f I, a female, start taking testosterone I am going to become the incredible hulk, grow 10 inches taller, bulk up and join the NBA or NFL? No. If it doesn't work both ways it isn't fair. Period. The rule should be you have to get a sex change before any secondary sex traits/or puberty happens.

What is this world coming to? Gabrielle Ludwig 6'6" basketball player for a junior college women's team. Former MARINE, with children, etc., decides to become a woman and is allowed to compete against other women? http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/transgender-college-hoops-player-head-high-article-1.1220117

He is a man. No surgery will ever change that fact. If you don't have ovaries, a uterus, etc., you are not a woman - period. Cutting you stuff off won't change that. To me, he has a thick man waist and a man face. You are a man who would have an advantage over a woman. I have no problem with his desire to be transgender. Do what you feel in your heart? Be happy. But don't try to fight women. Is he afraid to fight men. I totally agree with Joe Rogan. You ain't nor ever will be a woman.

The only difference, competitively speaking, between a born woman and a transsexual woman who has been on estrogen for 2+ years would be skeletal structure. **** whatever politics you have about the sex of this fighter- There is one and only one competitive difference. There ought to be no muscular difference aside those caused by the abnormal skeletal structure. If this single difference gives significant advantage, the fighter ought to be barred from competing in women's boxing.
I cannot honestly say if this is or is not an advantage in boxing, as I know nothing about the sport, but I do know about the transsexual side of this issue.

Of course he/she should not be able to fight women. It would be completely unfair. Even if Fallon has choosen to live her life as a woman (which I have no problem with) she will still have the strength of a man. Forget about Transgendered rights what about woman's rights?

After hormone treatment she, or he as everyone calls her, lost her male traits such as increased muscularity. Besides im sure these girls are on growth hormones n steroids anyway. I think Rogan is and always be a an arrogant *******!!!! And fk u all who give a thumbs down.

I agree (mostly) with Drew, for the sake of fairness.

I'm transgendered, and I have a few comments about the statements made in this section.

Summed up: "She used to be a man, and therefore still has man strength."

This could actually be very untrue. Assuming she's taking female hormones (which at this stage in her life she likely is considering she's publicly presenting herself), those are what's mostly responsible for fat and muscle development that we consider to be male or female. It actually becomes difficult to maintain muscle mass once you are on female hormones. In that, she'd have to work very hard and probably end up with about the same strength as genetic female MMA fighters.
Considering she's not in any way intersexed (as in, partially truly female [yes thats possible]), you win on the bone structure argument but, you need those all important muscles to make those bones move, so my above statements apply. I'm sure there are some fairly masculinely structured genetic women who would be allowed to fight in the MMA.

But, as with my point at the beginning, with any competition you need agreement among the participating competitors on what should be allowed. I feel though, that if she was put in her appropriate weight class then she would have plenty of challenge.

It's likely a massive waste of time to say this, but "he-she", "it", using male pronouns, etc, is incredibly insulting and considered hate speech. Fallon is female according to *legal id*. It doesn't matter what your personal opinions are. The government considers her female, and she should be treated as a female. There are certainly fighters who are stockier and taller than she is and are cisgendered women (not trans*)- should they be banned because they're too tall, or too muscular? What if they have a hormonal imbalance naturally and have more testosterone in their system than usual but are still cisgendered women, is that ok? Gender is a social construct. Get over it. The Olympics has.
