Ric Flair

Surprise WWE Visit

Days After Son's Funeral

Ric Flair
shocked the wrestling world last night when he made a surprise appearance at a pre-event for WrestleMania ... this just seven days after his son died.

The WWE legend had previously cancelled all his scheduled gigs relating to WM following the death 25-year-old, Reid Flair.

But Flair surprised everyone last night when he showed up to the Westin Hotel in Hoboken -- where the WWE wrestlers and employees are staying -- to hangout with his comrades before the event began.

We're told Ric was visibly shaken when he arrived, but as the night went on, the love for Flair and his son was obvious. Our spies say each wrestler came over to pay their respects and offer support and Flair's spirits were lifted tremendously.

As TMZ previously reported, Reid was found dead on March 29 in his hotel room. Ric had found him passed out cold and made the frantic call to 911.

The circumstances surrounding Reid's death remain unclear and an investigation is still ongoing.

Why do you continue to say that it was Ric on the 911 call. It obviously was not.

Ric is highly respected in the wrestling world (now...he was not well liked many years ago when he was a booker). It's good that he can go and be surrounded by those who know and respect him and who knew his son. He;'s an emotional guy and I'm sure the outpouring of love touched him deeply. Such a sad situation.

1. Good for Ric. Let us pray that Ric's daughter has the grace and bearing to carry on the majesty of the "Wooooo Dynasty." We are waiting at the gate for her. 2. Just imagine if Reid had followed in Ric's footsteps, and imitated him? Wooooo! The WWE would have had 1,000s of fans tune in, just to see Reid. This is a great loss for us fans, too. 3. Reid could have kept the "Woooo Dynasty" going because today's young fans saw Ric Flair wrestle live. That cannot be said about the fathers of other sons of legends. 4. Ric Flair wrestled years longer, than any other legend in recent memory. The Undertaker does not wrestle on a weekly basis like Ric did. God bless their family.

The nature boy ric flair. Well every1 handles losing a love one their own way. N maybe for flair being around his friends n how he's handling it especially w it being wrestle mania too. So ric I'm sure has his son on his mind but he's tryn to stay busy n surround him self w friends n family theirs nthn wrong w that.

Good for Flair. I know it's only been a week, but I think being around the business he loves and at Wrestlemania is a HUGE step in the healing process for him.
