-- FYI, Paula just yanked the video apology from her YouTube channel.

gray-bar-update
Paula Deen
continues to step in it, and we know part of the problem is that her team doesn't have a clue.

She just issued a weird, video apology with an edit after almost every sentence.  It's as if some publicist is feeding her lines that she has trouble delivering.

Rather than explaining why she used the N-word in the past -- something she might have been able to explain given her background -- she's just begging for forgiveness.  It feels like it's coming from a bunch of suits, and not from her heart.  Huge miss.

Sources connected with Deen tell TMZ ... this was an apology produced by committee -- a committee of lawyers, publicists and other managers who don't understand the meaning of the word "apology."  They've strung a bunch of words together that make Deen look pathetic ... throwing herself at the mercy of the court of public opinion.

It's sad.

I love Paula Dean but I think she just said she was sorry because she got caught and she will loose millions of bucks, I don't feel as though she meant it.

America worships celebs and it's sick. Who cares what she has to say.

I don't see what the big deal is! It probably comes second nature to some? Without realizing you've said it!! Just leave her alone she didn't mean any harm to you or anyone....

I hope the Food Network will reconsider and renew the contract of Ms. Paula Deen. She has apologized for her comments. Something that has been going on a long time that may have affected the opinion of many people is very unfair and wrong and may have caused her to lose her job. The audio of her taped and copyrighted programs has been changed many times by another party entering the Food Network equipment. I called the network in Jan., 2008, to report the problem to them and they were unaware of this. I also reported it to the FCC in Nov., 2008. They would make her sound like she was using profanity and it would fool almost everyone. In my opinion it is done by an unknown party entering the network's equipment. Because this has been going on for years it may have led to a situation of unfair play. Please forgive Paula Deen and keep the macaroni and cheese coming!

Something that has been going on a long time is that another unknown and unseen party can enter taped recordings and change them making it sound like the person speaking or singing, and say something different that may be a problem. This is not editing by the network but entering into the equipment and recording without permission.

its surprising how people just blurt their insults whether racial or not and then just apologize . my question to the Food Network people is: Are they going to do something about Paula deen's boys? I think they should be banned from the show as well. After all she raised them didn,t she?

What's so "ridiculous" about it? Would you rather she have it written down or read it off a screen in order to "sound sincere?" So what if she used the ungodly curse of the "N" word in the PAST? Haven't we all at one point in time? Maybe we'll all stop using it when everybody from Hollywood on down to the Hood stops using it in movies and music! I bet TMZ wouldn't be on the air either if people came out of the woodwork with a little behind the scenes info from their PAST! Is it not a double-standard when blacks can call each other the "N" word and much, much worse, but anybody from any other race says it and they're more or less burned at the stake?

First of all I think this is ridiculous, why should this woman have to apologize for a opinion and so what she she said the n word. How many dam times have we heard the w word, whiteey, uncle Tom, hey noone has apologized to us. And further more if the black man dont like us, why is it everytime i turn around they are moving into our neighborhoods? I suppose its safe, tired of this nonsense already

apologize? come on now this is getting ridiculous. Do the black people opologize to us for making remarks and gestures about the white race. I have heard it many times on TV. Make up people, voice your opinions

Dear TMZ,

Why did you title this "Paula's Ridiculous Apology"? This is the problem with the media, they try and weigh viewers opinion by giving a "ridiculous" title such as this, why don't you allow the viewer/commenter to be the JUDGE??? We obviously know TMZ's opinion......sure makes you look ignorant......WHO PISSED IN YOUR FRUIT LOOPS??

It shouldn't (nor should disgusting words for women, other races, etc) be used in music, movies, tv. . . but wait that isn't real life. Real life we ridicule, condemn, burn at the stake. It is a lesson to be learned. We all should be clean and ready to cast the first stone, right? She needs to know it isn't ok to do that, to say that. There is no reason to think that way, to treat that way. No one person is less than. Open your eyes, it isn't color anymore. And this should not be made a "white" issue. It is a human beings issue who has to realize it just is not right. When you say you are sorry, mean it. Mean it for the reason that you now know it is not right. All races, religions, people can learn a lot from this.

Paula Deen finally "cooked her OWN GOOSE"----she is, and always WAS overestimated and falsely considered skilled. Her TRUE character has been finally rearing it's head and she is a hot-mess racist that has given enlightened woman from the South a REALLY BAD NAME. Give-it-up Paula-----take a BREAK,girl! just sayin
