Teresa and Joe Giudice are each free on $500k bond ... after surrendering to federal authorities in their fraud case.

As part of the terms of their bail, both Teresa and Joe had to surrender their passports and are restricted to New York and New Jersey.

Joe, who is not a U.S. citizen, is subject to drug testing. Teresa will not have to subject herself to drug testing.

The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" couple is scheduled to be arraigned in federal court in New Jersey on August 14.

As we previously reported, both Joe and Teresa are facing 30 years in prison after being hit with 39 counts of fraud.

Teresa's attorney has previously stated that she will plead not guilty to the charges.

You mess with the Feds and you mess with the Devil. He sounds like a snake and she will plead innocence to knowing what he was doing. This is a big deal and I am sure the lawyers are trying to get some of the lesser of the 39 thrown out and maybe there will be some thrown out, but the fact remains is they both are accused of committing Felonies. Where did the bond money come from? I wouldn't want to be in their shoes for any amount of fame they've received through the Bravo franchise, it is not worth it and the children will suffer the most. I they are deported especially Joe then the entire family should move back to Italy if Italy excepts convicted Felons

Well, the US government is hardly the one to be teaching individuals lessons in the evils of greed. I don't think white collar criminals should go to prison - there should be a value put on the amount of money they bilked from banks/citizens/government/etc and they should be forced to pay it back through full-time community service. Otherwise tax payers lose more money putting them up in prisons and the convicted don't learn any lessons or have an opportunity to redeem themselves.

Hate to stick ups for the devils here...but our tax code is so jacked up it its ridiculous. Seems like some sort of flat or luxury tax on say... all their fancy cars & mansions would be a good start. I don't think 50 years in Fed Prison fits the crime here, they don't even sentence rapists & murderers so harshly anymore.
