Riley Cooper

Leaves Philadelphia Eagles

After N-Word Threat

8/2/2013 10:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

0802-riley-cooper-getty
Philadelphia Eagles
wide receiver Riley Cooper needs some serious n-word counseling ... so much so he's taken a leave from the team.

A rep for the Eagles was blunt and to the point: "Riley Cooper will be seeking counseling and we have excused him from all team activities."

The rep says Riley needs to understand how his racist threats -- to fight every n***er at the Kenny Chesney concert -- are hurtful.

The team is hedging over whether Cooper will be welcome back.

For his part, Riley says, "The organization and my teammates have been extremely supportive, but I also realize that there are people who will have a tough time forgiving me for what I’ve done. The best thing for me, and for the team, is to step away for a period of time."

How sad and pathetic these people are. All this drama over a word. He said it while drunk, he apologized, it should be over. It's ok for rappers to say this word as well as all kinds of other derogatory words towards women, in their songs and intend it to be heard by kids, both white and black, and then people get surprised when it is repeated in public? Nobody should use this word, whether they are black or white. But to punish an otherwise good person more saying it while drunk off his butt, is just stupid and pathetic!!

It's time to start dealing judgement to every black person who uses word "cracker". I mean it's more than fair bc to call a white person cracker for starters is a LIE. Or have anybody seen a white slavemaster cracking whip lately?

Btw, only about 5% of whites living in america today had ancestors who had slaves. And NONE has black slaves today, so stop whining about the past. You weren't even there!

I'm sure if i knew that my grand parents were tortured and called bad names it wouldn't have any emotional trigger in me, unless i was so sicko i made myself believe it was so.

Oh, and i know what i'm talking about bc my ancestors were persecuted and most propably tortured at least as horrifically than any of your blacks ancestors.

So better stop this whole bs, it's only power game blacks use for kicks. Their rallys have very little to do with some alledged victim they are pretending to defend.

White People.....You guys don't get it. There are two different words here. ******: derogatory racist word... derived by white people. *****: term of endearment used by minorities. You must know the difference.

I don't understand why he didn't just say f*ggot instead. Hell, the brothers love that word. All he would have to do would be release a half-a**ed tweet apology, and everything would be fine. The brothers would be high-fiving him in the locker room, complimenting him on how he got over on dem crachahs.

If people went Riley Cooper to be suspended for using the N-word every player no matter his race should be suspended for using it. NFL films has thousands of hours of sideline video and audio that is recorded during the NFL season I bet if that was reviewed with the intention of listening for the N-word or other racially insensitive comments (including those made by black players against white players) you would hear hundreds of comments just as bad if not worse then what he said.

This is really censorship. They are picking and choosing what we are allowed to say and how we may express ourselves. It is our right to say what we think and call people what we want. Do we really want to ruin someone's life over name calling? I'm sure there are those that do, and they seem to be running the show.

If someone says the saltine word, do whites go insane? They probably think to themselves WTH, and move on.

Imagine if kids got kicked out of school every time someone heard them call someone a name? There would no kids left. This might be coming though. Kids get thrown out for pretending to shoot guns already. Cowboys and Indians and Cops and Robbers are probably out of the question. They have to play koosh balls and rose petals.
