Church of Scientology

BLASTS LEAH REMINI

Over Missing Person Report

The Church of Scientology is spewing venom at Leah Remini for daring to file a report with the LAPD ... claiming the wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige is missing.

A Church rep claims Leah cooked up the allegation "with unemployed, anti-religious zealots."

Leah -- who broke ties with Scientology last month -- was alarmed that Shelly Miscavige hasn't been seen publicly in 6 years.  The LAPD closed out its investigation last night, and as TMZ first reported, cops say they had a face to face with Shelly.  They did not indicate if they probed as to whether Shelly was being held against her will.

The Church rep calls Leah's actions "an inexcusable distraction for the LAPD."

And the Church took this shot:  "Sadly, rather than move on with her life and career, Ms. Remini has aligned herself with a handful of untrustworthy, lunatic tabloid sources who obsessively harass the Church to advance their selfish agendas."

Someone is pissed.

How elitist does someone have to be to think "unemployed" is a slur?

Whenever Scientology is attacked or exposed to potential embarrassment, its leadership never fails to respond with hateful, threatening and vicious language. Why would anyone ever associate such people with wisdom or spiritual insight? They are clowns!

I just saw a video on HuffPost that stated this was a publicity stunt by Remnini to try and boost her flagging career. Pretty sick if true as she wasted the LAPD's time and money (tax payers) chasing shadows. I say let people get on with their lives.

Be aware that Co$ does assign people to make positive statements in comments sections about Co$ and posts questioning the motives of any critics. The very idea that Remini is doing this for "publicity" on her own behalf is ridiculous. She has a lot to lose, considering the Co$ reputation for long-term harassment of "defectors". Those infamous "auditing" sessions (which they apply even to children) are recorded and used to intimidate anybody thinking about leaving. Read just a bit about their processes and you will see that their psychotic founder, science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard (who said long before Co$ that the best way to make a lot of money would be to start a religion), simply adapted classic brainwashing techniques. The "church" came into being simply as a tax dodge.

It is very reasonable to question why a woman married to the head of such an organization has been hidden away for several years, with no contact with family or friends and no public appearances. What is not reasonable is the LAPD not assigning someone familiar with domestic abuse and cults to investigate this. If the woman supposedly the missing person was surrounded by Co$ staff in a Co$ enclave and was not properly identified by someone who was not Co$ and who really knew her- there is simply no guarantee that it was even her, or if it was- that she felt safe to speak freely. Or that she wasn't so brainwashed that she was not competent. she needs to be properly identified and interviewed by experts in a completely safe environment. Honestly, can you imagine any other organization getting away with such nonsense?

Drain on LAPD resources cult claims? Next time, just let Shelly out of her cell one a year or something.
