Paula Deen

Wins Racial Lawsuit

That Destroyed Her

8/12/2013 1:17 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

0628_paula_deen_article_tmz_1In one of the most supremely ironic court decisions in a long time, a judge just threw out the racial discrimination claim filed against Paula Deen -- the very lawsuit that destroyed the famous chef.

A judge just ruled ... Lisa Jackson had no right to claim racial discrimination, BECAUSE SHE'S WHITE!  Any comments that Deen or her cohorts may have made had no legal consequence to her, because she's simply not the right color.

Jackson made a tenuous argument that someone in her family was bi-racial -- something that may not be true at all.  But the judge said even if it were true, she was at best an "accidental victim."

Short story -- Jackson ruined Paula with a bogus claim.

The case goes on, because Jackson also claims sexual discrimination, and so far there's not basis to doubt that she's a woman.

I agree with Goawaygloria..."This country needs to wake up and stop coddling black people. At the same time, black people need to stop demanding to be coddled!!"

Under the umbrella of racism, since when is it justifiable to announce to the World "The First US Black President". Broadcasting another "White President" clearly is unacceptable. In sync with the "BET" Network, would it be acceptable for a station to declare a "White Entertainment Network?" There are countless examples that COULD be cited, but then THAT would be considered racial. I just don't get the double standard and welcome any comment from those who could explain/justify...

Paula Deen won Absolutely Nothing in court. Paula decided not to fight it so now it leaves the door open for Other African American employees to file a lawsuit, and that could get much worse than Jacksons.

Love it. Too bad that Paula can't go after her for her damaged reputation and the money and contracts she has lost. That would put a stop to a lot of these stupid laws suits.

The damage is done but I feel these businesses are not going to start putting her things back on the shelf. She said what she said and Paula dean paid for it. Lets all agree slavery is over has been for along time and move on

After 27 years, the stuff that is said on TV and in the movies and on the street, is by far worse than what Paula was charged with. Charge on Paula Deen. We love you.

I don't know why the Court agreed to hear the case in the first place for the very reason the Judge stated in dismissing the case. Paul was dropped from the network for what she said, not because someone sued her, at least I think that was their reason. Who knows for sure?

This is plain DUMB!!!
I can't be offended if someone uses the word "***got" in regards to someone gay because I'm heterosexual?? Pretty sad when someone tells you to get over something they are still doing to you

First of all, all of us have used the " N " word. I don' t care what race, color or age you are. African Americans have also used the word honky, cracker etc. and get away with it in public forums. Just look at many African American comedians who use it as part of their act and nothing is ever said. What is unfortunate is that the African American community has to stop using racism as an excuse to hold them back in society. Paula Deen who is a public figure had the GUTS to admit it. People make mistakes and hopefully learn from their mistakes and ignorance. Lets all stop it and let Ms. Deen go on with her life. This should not ruin her whole career and life's work..

Now will FoodTV give her back her career? She's
innocent and no more racist than anyone else.
She didn't deserve to be destroyed despite the
agists who think so.
