Dwyane Wade

Foundation Sued ...

I Got Beat with a Drumstick

High school marching bands are NOT to be trifled with -- just ask one Chicago woman, who claims she was attending a charity event for Dwyane Wade's foundation last year ... and took a beating to the head with a bass drum mallet.

Andrea Alexander filed the lawsuit against Wade's World (EXCELLENT!) claiming she had an aisle seat at the foundation's "Chicago Has Talent" event last year when a high school marching band blared and crashed its way past her.

Alexander claims the aisles were so narrow, one of the band's bass drummers whacked her in the head with his bass drum mallet ... causing her "severe and permanent injuries."

Alexander says its Dwyane's foundation's fault for negligently allowing the band to play in the narrow aisles ... and she wants at least $50,000 to make up for her pain and suffering.

Alexander is also suing the venue and the band's high school. Calls to Dwyane's foundation weren't returned. Badum-tish.

"severe and permanent injuries." Really??? Those bass drum mallets aren't made of stone. Someone is looking for a payday. How absolutely pathetic. Get a freaking job lazy bitch

Looks like someone just wants a quick payday. I was at a certain multi-millionaire celeb's birthday party the the other day and I had a bit too much to drink and i ended up crashing my car, maybe i should file a lawsuit against him/her too.

TMZ already beat me to the Wayne's World joke, but seriously, didn't anyone think about the similarity when they named the charity?

I guess the "Willy Wonka Golden Ticket" --otherwise known as lifetime EBT card-- just wasn't enough anymore.

I hope the judge throws this case out and makes this ho pay for all court and attorney fees... but in reality she's going to get a settlement and the case will get quietly go away.

It's INTERESTING to me how people, who are unaware of the details or there to witness an event, always have such HARSH, DEROGATORY, AND RACIAL comments to say about the injured party. For everyone below who commented, how do you possibly know that this is an untrue situation? However, I agree that these cases are "get rich quick, and easy paydays" often but still doesn't mean that it isn't truthful. Secondly, more than likely the woman is African-American, as this was an event sponsored in the urban community during back-to-school weekend. Thirdly, how do you know that this woman is not employed and well off? IJS

Lady please!!! This is a total money grab and shame on her from trying to profit from a CHARITY!!!!! The judge should award her the money with the stipulation that she has to donate it back to Wade's World!
