Quincy Jones

SUES MICHAEL JACKSON PRODUCTIONS

You're Ripping Me Off Royally

Quincy Jones
says he's been double-crossed by Sony and Michael Jackson Productions (aka MJJ) ... claiming the 2 companies intentionally aced him out of his cut of Michael's music.

Jones has sued MJJ Productions and Sony ... claiming he owns a big chunk of "Off the Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" because he produced all of them.  Jones claims Sony and MJJ concocted a scheme to edit and remix the original songs and put them into new ventures such as the "This Is It" movie, the Cirque du Soleil stage show and the 25th Anniversary of the "Bad" album and then deny him royalties.

The allegations are even worse.  Jones says MJJ and Sony created a shell game and diverted millions of bucks away from what is rightfully his.

Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Michael Jackson Estate, tells TMZ, "The Estate of Michael Jackson was saddened to learn that Quincy Jones has filed a lawsuit seeking money from Michael's Estate.  To the best of our knowledge, Mr. Jones has been appropriately compensated over approximately 35 years for his work with Michael."

Jones wants $10 mil minimum.

Once a deadbeat always a deadbeat. MJ lived as a deadbeat, with debts of over half a billion, now he is dead for sure, and for sure he and his estate (lawyers LOL!!!) are still trying to screw people over and over. Those lawyers are screwing the Jacksons as well, another family of deadbeats, I am not chosing any sides but Hey, Murray is out in just two more days, there is always a cosmic justice, God is watching us from a distance. I only hope Wade will be able to get his justice.

Elvis is the real King still making money after all these years. The rabids are hiding in their holes after just 4 years of his death, we will see where they would be in another year. You would really have to wonder Michael who!!! No body will remember the pedo except every time when a pedo is caught. Now that is his legacy!!!

"Mr. Jones has been appropriately compensated over approximately 35 years for his work with Michael."

...These lawyers want to play a word game instead of quoting the law. It doesn't matter how long Mr Jones has been compensated, if he is partially owner of the recordings then he is supposed to be paid regardless to how long he's owed the music.

Those albums would be nothing if Quincy hadn't produced them. He arranged the music and none of it sounded like crap without his help.

Lawyers representing the son of Tito Jackson have asked the Los Angeles Superior Court to approve close to $40,000 in legal fees as a result of Paris Jackson‘s attempted suicide bid earlier this year.

In court do***ents filed this week and obtained by RadarOnline.com, TJ Jackson’s attorney, Charles A. Shultz, said he was owed $39,60...7.50 for his services from October 2012 to today — at an hourly rate of $450.

TJ, 34, is a co-guardian of Prince, 16; Paris, 16; and Prince Michael II, 10, who’s also known as Blanket.

“In such capacity, both TJ and I, as his counsel, have had to address issues regarding security, petitions by various parties claiming to be the biological mothers of (the children) and most recently issues regarding Paris, the details of which are well known to the court,” Shultx wrote in the filing.

“Over the last year, the most time consuming issues related to Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson and events that occurred during the summer month, which the court is fully aware of.

“Time was spent addressing personal and medical issues, addressing court investigation and court inquiries, assisting with treatment options, including choosing treating physician and plan of action, meeting guardians, attorneys and physicians.”

The teenager has been under counsellors care at an undisclosed boarding school since June when she guzzled a bottle of pills and cut her wrists in a failed — but not first — suicide attempt.

Schultz said the 15-year-old’s suicide bid engulfed 43.3 hours of his time.

In the filing, he also do***ented the work he did to address the guardianship petitions filed by Billie Jean Jackson and Helena Kuta, the latter who sought to compel the children to undergo DNA testing.

“Responding to that Petition required researching rights to privacy and DNA testing,” he said.

He also spent time addressing ”household staffing issues, nanny issues, security guard issues, issues regarding requests from school for Paris and Prince, lease issues for house… issues regarding security and staffing.”

Journal Reveals MJ’s Desire To Be ‘Better Than Gene Kelly & Fred Astaire,’ Desperation To Be ‘The Greatest Ever’

Tragic Michael Jackson grappled with his desperation to be “the greatest ever” performer — a bigger star than Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire — in the months before his tragic death, his secret diary reveals.

RadarOnline.com has obtained twelve pages of the King of Pop’s journal which detail his blueprint to be rebuild his flagging career in the hope of eventually becoming “immortalized” — like his idols Charlie Chaplin, Michelangelo and Walt Disney.

But the notes, filed in a Los Angeles court as part of his wrongful death trial, also detail how a hopeless and drug-addicted Jackson wanted his personal physician, Conrad Murray, on the plane bound for London and his doomed “This Is It” tour to administer drugs.

The Thriller megastar wrote how he needed the death doctor — who administered Jackson’s fateful dose of the powerful anesthetic proposal — to set-up a “drip” so he could get “Rim [sic] sleep,” the handwritten notes reveal.

“Conrad must practice now,” Jackson wrote. “I can’t be tired after procedure to important Rim [sic] sleep.”

He added, “Hire Conrad exclusive.”

The diary is laced with a tortured Jackson’s yearning to make his comeback series of 50 concerts a success, after years of sordid headlines, questionable behavior and persistent child molestation allegations.

The Billie Jean hit-maker details his last-ditch attempt to begin earning $20 million income each week, by moving into movie production after the tour’s end and ultimately becoming the “first multi-billionaire entertainer-actor-director.”

“Better than Kelly and Astaire,” wrote Jackson, who died at age 50, a day after a rehearsal and three weeks before the first concert on what would have been his final tour.

“The greatest [ever] in the likes of Chaplin, Michelangelo and Disney – these men demanded perfection, innovation always.”

The pop star remarked how he wanted AEG, the concert promoter, to help him develop and remake movies for such fantasy classics as The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Ali Baba and 40 Thieves, Jack The Giant Killer and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Jackson — who considered himself the real-life Peter Pan — also plotted to create a 3D version of Aladdin, the Disney animation mega-hit from 1992.

He scrawled, “If I don’t concentrate [on] film, no immortalization.”

The most celebrated entertainer the world has ever seen also wanted to take on The Great White Way with a musical about his life; and create his own merchandise lines of soda and cookies.

He noted his desire to meet with Simon Fuller, the man behind American Idol and the Spice Girls, whom he though could help him resurrect his career.

While he had adulation for Fuller, Jackson couldn’t say the same kind sentiments of Tohme Tohme, his ex-manager.

“Tohmey (sic) away from my $ now,” he blasted in one entry. “No Tohmey near me, No Tohmey on plane or in my house,” he added, in another.

The 13-Grammy Award winner — who was strapped for cash at the time and living like a vagabond, as a court has heard — noted how he needed to “hire an accountant I trust” and lawyer, but warned himself, “caution, caution.”

In another note, he wrote: “Mother do you need $.”

Lawyers for Katherine Jackson are fighting to get the notes admitted into evidence, however AEG, who were promoting the London concerts, is arguing the notes are hearsay and should not be allowed to be used.

“There is simply no evidence showing when Michael Jackson wrote the notes, why he did so, or what they mean. As a result, there is no way to know whether the notes ever showed Michael Jackson’s plan, motive, or intent,” said a motion, obtained by Radar.

Katherine, 83, is suing the concert promoter for wrongful death saying the company’s executives negligently hired the doctor who overdosed her son and should be held financially liable.

AEG Live maintains that Jackson kept his dependency on propofol secret from outsiders, that a proposed contract with Murray was never fully executed and they could not have foreseen that Murray posed a danger to Jackson.
