Ex-'Real Housewives' Star

I'll Take That Fancy Steak, To Go

1/13/2014 12:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0112_ny_steak_wmFormer "Real Housewives of New York" star Jill Zarin broke one of the golden rules of fine dining at the opening of a fancy steakhouse in NYC -- she asked for a doggie bag.

Zarin made the gourmet goof-up at the opening of NYY Steak in midtown Manhattan last week ... alongside the likes of Kris Jenner, Christina Milian and James Lipton.

We're told some NYY staffers were taken aback by Zarin's faux pas -- since most food snobs frown on great meats becoming leftovers.

Then again, Jill does have a dog. A tiny one, but still.

Good riddance!

So the more expensive a dinner is, the more you're supposed to just trash what you can't finish? Is there some sort of elitist pride with conspicuous non-consumption of overly priced food?

What fool leaves expensive gourmet food behind? TMZ is full of poor working stiffs who have a snobs idea of how people should act.

And if she left a piece of meat on her plate, they would rip into her for wasting it. Geez, maybe she likes it heated over. Maybe it's for her dog, maybe she gave it to a homeless person. Her business. Not yours, TMZ.

Oh come on. it would make great late night drunk food, or a decent cold/room temp steak salad the next day.

Good to know people in the kitchen are scoffing at their customers though. mental note - no more doggie bags from nobu ;)

If it's so "TACKY" to take your leftovers home, WHY does the restaurant have "doggie bags" with their name printed on them? Another non-story, TMZ.

Who cares about the doggie bag? Please just let the loud-mouthed, overbearing, obnoxious Zarin and that unfortunate looking pooch go away FOREVER!

It's obviously not THAT big of a deal, if the steakhouse has pre-printed Take Out bags.
