Sorry to burst your bubble -- the Illinois man who claimed a $218.6 million lottery jackpot in 2012 tells TMZ, he is NOT giving away his fortune to Internet strangers ... and the Instagram account claiming otherwise is FAKE.

67-year-old Merle Butler tells us, he doesn't even have an Instagram account. He also says it's not the first time someone on the Internet has impersonated him to scam others out of money.

The fake Instagram account went viral over the weekend, promising to mail out $1,000 checks to the first 50 followers. It currently has 112,000. A related account (claiming to be Merle's accountant) is now asking followers to donate $.99 for postage, in case you were born yesterday.

Merle tells us, he will be contacting his attorney as well as the FBI to handle the situation.

Wow ...

Scam artists are everywhere, don't fall for it. Sadly, I'll bet they already received several hundred dollars for the "stamp". For goodness sake, like a millionaire giving away money would want you to pay for postage! Especially when you can do a bank transfer for free.

Wow ...

Poor girl, feel better. To the fans, no worries. She'll refund your money or promise a better event at a later date to make up for it. Maybe actual penetration on stage - so parents keep the kids at home! And like others, seriously, who buys her tickets anymore? She was once a a talented girl with an amazing voice. But nothing sets her apart from the others now. In fact ANYONE can do what she does.

Well, spend it wisely, because people will try to spam you of it. If you do give to strangers. Make sure it is a good charity that you are trying to help. It is funny how many people will be at your door once you win this much money. Where were this so called friends before you won the money?

I am baffled by the MORONS who still believe that by liking, clicking on, or sharing some idiotic story, that they are gonna be given money to them by a complete stranger!! If you are one, click like on my post, and I will give you some ocean front property in Arizona!!! NOT!!!!!
