Bryan Singer

Accuser NEVER Told FBI

Director Sexually Assaulted Him

4/19/2014 9:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

0419-michael-egan-press-conference-03The FBI DID investigate sexual assault claims by the man who is now accusing "X-Men" director Bryan Singer of sexually molesting him in 1998 ... but he NEVER mentioned Singer ... this according to multiple sources close to the investigation.

Michael Egan and his lawyer both said at a news conference Singer sexually abused him at a pool party in Encino, CA. when he was only 15.  Egan also claims 3 other men abused him at the party.  He sued the 3 men in 2000 but Singer was never named or mentioned.

Egan claims he and his mom complained to the FBI in 2000 but the investigation went nowhere.

Our sources close to that investigation tell us ... the FBI fully investigated Egan's claims and the agency's investigation was instrumental in criminal charges of sexual assault of one of the 3 men -- Marc Collins-Rector -- but Egan NEVER mentioned Singer and his name never came up during the probe.

An FBI spokesperson tells us, "The FBI takes seriously allegations involving the sexual abuse of minors.  The suggestion the FBI ignored evidence concerning the sexual victimization of a minor is completely without merit."

He's looking for a pay day. From my understanding, the original lawsuit awarded him over a million, but the men fled and never paid up?

I live all these people convicting the guy off of no evidence. His story is full of holes. Singer has proved he wasn't in Hawaii at the time he said he was assaulted and his claim of contacting the FBI has now been disproven.

I can fund no other news outlet reporting that the FBI said Egan never mentioned Singer.

I guess this guys problem is that all the people who really did molest him either left the country or aren't rich, so he's had to just remember names of people that he came into contact with and the richest one was Bryan Singer, who coincidentally has a big movie coming soon.

This isn't adding up. The boy won a CIVIL DEFAULT JUDGEMENT. There was never a trial, so no FBI information was the basis to win. It was NOT instrumental to to case. The defendant fled the country. MAYBE, there was enough evidence to win money, but not a criminal conviction. THAT'S why some lawyers take a case for a third of a judgement, no other fees. Next post has last question.

Was Marc Collins-Rector EVER CHARGED in a criminal court? Doesn't matter if he left the country, the DA would have filed anyway. If not, there wasn't enough evidence to go to trial.

Its cases like these that make so many people roll their eyes when someone comes out and claims they were abused and molested...especially when the cases involve someone rich and famous, the alleged abuse took place many years before and they ALL claim to have repressed the memories of it happening. ...however I am sure this guys ambulance chasing lawyer has told him that with the next X-Men movie coming out Bryan and the studio will be desperate for it to go away so they will be able to get a nice juicy settlement whether it is true or not.

Another no talent actor looking to get money from someone who is successful. One thing is for sure, Egan will never work in the business again. He nailed that coffin.

The ONLY reason there is a claim now against Singer is because he has the fattest checkbook currently. Why wasn't he named in the complaint years ago? Exactly.

So, why would TMZ lie in the headline about the name "Bryan Singer" being exonerated by the FBI? Rupert Murdoch, that's why. It's FOX. Fox Studios own XMen, and TMZ LIVE signed a new deal with Fox Affifiates. This is not new, using their own media outlets for damage control. The below link from FOX NEWS owned by News Corp / Murdoch) published the complete FBI statement, but clearly states they do not report names, but the headline has Singers name in it. So, now we know why TMZ has the balls to lie about FBI policy, if they don't retract, I know how proceed.http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/04/18/fbi-denies-fumbling-testimony-on-x-men-director-bryan-singer-in-2000/
