Chris Brown

Ordered to 131 More Days in Jail

5/9/2014 2:54 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
breaking news

Chris Brown
has just been sentenced to spend another 4-plus months in jail ... for violating his probation in the Rihanna case ... but the reality is, he could be released by week's end.

Brown was in court Friday afternoon ... where he admitted he violated his probation by getting into a fight with a dude in Washington D.C.

That's all the judge needed to hear.  He sentenced Chris to 1 year in jail.  HOWEVER, Chris got credit for 116 days he spent in rehab, and another 59 days behind bars.  That leaves 131 days in the pokey.

But we're told the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept has been releasing inmates sentenced to 1 year after 240 days.  And here's the thing.  Chris gets credit for 2 days for every 1 he served behind bars, so when you add it up, he has credit for 234 days -- 6 days shy.  So he could be released in days.

The judge could have gone a lot harder -- 4 years in prison.  But Chris got a break because the judge took into account he was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which could account for some of the violence.

The judge also ordered Chris to attend therapy sessions with a shrink 2 times a week.   And he must submit to random drug testing 3 times a week.

Chris is not out of the legal woods ... his D.C. assault trial is set to start in the following months.

Well, I'd say he's lucky because they let NON-VIOLENT offenders off for good behavior, but he's a VIOLENT offender because he beat up Rihanna so he's really not entitled to any time off.

Too bad they dont do this for tax crimes, when less than half is paid up, that's enough!

How is the rehab the same as a jail? When the rehab is not working. One week in jail should be the same as a day in rehab.

boo boo

He got thrown out of 2 rehab facilities for bad behavior. He should not get rewarded for that. Times are tough but violent criminals should get locked up.

It's about time! Chris has practically been begging the judge to throw his azz in prison. He's been doing one dumbarse thing after another like Lindsay Lohan has done over the years. Maybe the judge will get it through his thick skull that he needs to get his "anger management" issues under control.

I'm sure Rihanna is chuckling about it. Chris is finally getting the jail time for beating her up that he should have gotten a long time ago.

Chris better not mess with any other prisoners or he might get the crap beaten out of him. I bet there's LOTS of male Rihanna fans in prison.

I know quite a few people who are bipolar and have never raised a hand in anger. Seems it only affects certain people that way.

Good lord, the man has a family, friends and fans. With his cases so public of course people gonna try him for a payday, the Rihanna incident was in 2009 and she has since forgiven him. Yet people still want this man buried under the jail..pfft get over it people.
