Chris Brown

Ordered to 131 More Days in Jail

Chris Brown
has just been sentenced to spend another 4-plus months in jail ... for violating his probation in the Rihanna case ... but the reality is, he could be released by week's end.

Brown was in court Friday afternoon ... where he admitted he violated his probation by getting into a fight with a dude in Washington D.C.

That's all the judge needed to hear.  He sentenced Chris to 1 year in jail.  HOWEVER, Chris got credit for 116 days he spent in rehab, and another 59 days behind bars.  That leaves 131 days in the pokey.

But we're told the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept has been releasing inmates sentenced to 1 year after 240 days.  And here's the thing.  Chris gets credit for 2 days for every 1 he served behind bars, so when you add it up, he has credit for 234 days -- 6 days shy.  So he could be released in days.

The judge could have gone a lot harder -- 4 years in prison.  But Chris got a break because the judge took into account he was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, which could account for some of the violence.

The judge also ordered Chris to attend therapy sessions with a shrink 2 times a week.   And he must submit to random drug testing 3 times a week.

Chris is not out of the legal woods ... his D.C. assault trial is set to start in the following months.

Chris who is diagnosed with bipolar disorder needs HELP not to be scorned. If he is not taking medication he will have mood swings from a very high to a crashing low. How are we or the courts helping him or any other prisoner with mental health issues, when did the judge become the health care provider for people like this? They need help not scorn. Someone should be assigned to him to make sure he is taking his meds (serquol or one of the other for bipolar) and go to therapy sessions 2 to 3 times a week. Meanwhile Chris is more of a benefit to society out of jail than in jail.
When he is out and working he is PAYING taxes unstead of milking the court system and court time on this BS. Additionally he has a staff of people that depend on him for their livelihood. Give him a fine, give him court appointed counselor and monitor his drugs so he is staying in line. Turn Chris Brown into a citizen that pays into the system instead of taking. People with mental disorders will try to self-medicate with street drugs if they are not watched and monitored. Mental Health is a serious issue in this country and it must be taken seriously like a disability as it is keeping Chris from being a part of society and a decent contributor. Lastly part of his money should go to a domestic abuse program, and a fund to help offenders who are poor that need mental health support. LETS HELP THESE PEOPLE.

Gotta love california...no matter how much time he is sentenced to..if the jail is crowded...he walks...hope that when he is convicted in his east coast charges he is sentenced to time he will actually have to serve....all these california folks saying he is being made an example of.....NO....this is what happens when people actually have to pay a price for their actions...and can't buy their way out of their bad behavior.....

Bipolar? Why don't they add in ADHD and Autism, like everyone else in the world. What a tool.
