'Big Brother'

Former Contestants Split

Over Telling Frankie

7/24/2014 11:07 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF
EXCLUSIVE

Big Brother Frankie Grande Grandpa Death"Big Brother" showdown:  2 former, famous contestants squaring off over whether producers should have told Frankie Grande about his grandfather's death.

RACHEL REILLY, Winner, Season 13.  Producers had an obligation to tell Frankie.  Death trumps show rules.

SPENCER CLAWSON
, Contestant, Season 15.  Horrible move by producers.  It opens Pandora's Box. What happens next ... say a contestant's son has to be put under anesthesia.  Tell or don't tell?

Watch the video.  They actually both make compelling points.

So, we gotta ask ...

I can't believe that idiotic show is still on and anyone actually watches it.

Death in the family trumps a fvcking reality show rule. If the death had been your spouse , child or parent, would the producers have to even ask? I hope not!

If this was anyone but Ariana Grande's brother. I bet the producers would not have told him. I bet they were saying... "It's all about the ratings!"

I don't think it was the right thing to do but I wouldn't call it a terrible move.

Rachel and Spencer are favorites of mine. I love the show. Haters will ALWAYS find something to hate on. ROL and TMZ boards are FULL of self-loathing, ugly HATERS.

I think it's funny that they chose pedo-Spencer for this debate. Of the hundreds of choices they had of former houseguests, they choose HIM, really?!? Wonder if Harvey knows about his talking about what a great speaker Hitler was?

Am not sure why they told him, it was the man's wish to let Frankie play.
Can only assume that after the initial consolations and such, the HGs will wonder WHY this was important enough to justify breaking that rules they've only broke for 9/11.

HGs don't know who his sister is/was and this would make it seem that Frankie is more than just a 'regular' person.

Didn't some contestants house burn down while she was on, and they didn't tell her?

BB is a guilty pleasure for me and am surprised they let his info in the house. Do they know who his sister is now or why it was OK to get that info to him?

All it can do is mess up his game, it can't help.

Considering they knew he was ill and they had all agreed on not telling him while he was on BB, am still not sure HOW this even got to him.

Considering the only broke the rule for 9/11, the other HGs have to be wondering WTF is so big about this??

They can tell, but shouldn't allow him any air-time to use his personal loss as a means to SELF-PROMOTE. It's not the "Grande" show. If it is all about the "Grande family" - RENAME the show, so we can switch the feeds we paid for off,

It's pretty obvious you're pushing this show, TMZ. This "story" doesn't deserve this many articles, and you know it - you're milking a bull. If people aren't watching the show, this blitz isn't going to compel them to do so (or buy one of the t-shirts that you're also pushing)
