Stephen Colbert promised he'd mix entertainment with politics, and he delivered on opening night.

"The Late Show" is in the can -- at least the first one -- and no less a star than George Clooney was on the sofa.

And sofas can make for strange bedfellows, because Clooney shared a cushion with Jeb Bush.

CBS honcho Les Moonves and wife Julie Chen were front and center.
