Hope Solo Iced Out by Obama At White House Ceremony
Even Barack Obama is distancing himself from Hope Solo ... with the President of the United States refusing to acknowledge the goalie at a ceremony Tuesday honoring the U.S. Women's team.
Everyone from the World Cup championship team gathered at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave -- where POTUS shouted out several players by name including Abby Wambach, Carli Lloyd, Sydney Leroux, Becky Sauerbrunn, Megan Rapinoe and Heather O'Reilly.
But Solo -- who won the Golden Glove award for the best goalkeeper in the World Cup -- was left out of the namedropping ... and we're guessing it has everything to do with her domestic violence case.
As we previously reported, Hope is facing criminal charges for allegedly beating up her half sister and nephew in a drunken rage back in 2014 ... allegations Solo adamantly denies.
Solo was arrested following the alleged rampage -- and cops say she went on a tirade, berating several police officers ... calling one a "bitch" and saying she'd kick his ass.
Which brings us to Tuesday ... where Solo got no love from Obama.
The rest of the ceremony was great -- with Obama congratulating Sydney on her wedding, Abby on being out and proud (kissing her wife at the World Cup) and said the team taught the whole world that "playing like a girl means you're a bad ass."
He later apologized for saying bad ass.
