PGA legend John Daly says when it comes to golfing, President Barack Obama is "pretty good" but he doesn't hold a candle to the all-time GOAT presidential links master ... George H.W. Bush.
We spoke to John about the sick 40 ft chip shot Obama pulled off on a recent golfing trip in Hawaii ... and wanted to know what the 2-time major champion thought of the top guy's skills.
"Looked pretty good ... not bad form either. I don't know what his handicap is but he looked pretty good."
So he loved the shot ... but is it enough to make Obama the landslide winner of best presidential player ever? Not according to John ... he says that belongs to a different president.
"George Bush Sr. was the best I've seen."
As for presidents who DON'T have it on the green ... Daly had an answer for that too ... close your ears, Democrats.
"I played with Bill Clinton, he needed a lot of work. I'm sure he's better now but it was mulligan after mulligan back then. It was pretty funny."
