Kiesza Sued: Your 'Hideaway' Video Jacked My Graffiti
Kiesza Sued Your 'Hideaway' Video Jacked My Graffiti
Canadian musician Kiesza just got slapped with a lawsuit over her massively popular "Hideaway" music video, which features a graffiti artist's work ... but he's not happy about it.
The "Hideaway" video is clocking almost 300 million YouTube hits -- and Brooklyn artist Jamie Mitchel Kosse's street art is seen in the background, but in his lawsuit he says he never gave Kiesza permission. Still, Kosse says she's reaping the benefits because his art lends street cred to her video.
Kosse says his work is no stranger to the screen -- his graffiti was featured in movies "The Dictator," "A Gifted Man," and licensed by NBC and CBS too.
The artist wants all copies of the video destroyed and removed from the Internet -- plus damages.
Gotta say it's a super catchy tune and fun video -- especially the awesome graffiti in the background.
