Warren Moon doesn't believe he did anything wrong using a rape analogy to describe the treatment of Cam Newton ... chalking up the controversy over his comments to people simply overreacting.

Moon raised eyebrows during a recent interview about the QB -- saying the way he's been attacked by his critics, "You'd think he raped like five pastors' daughters."
