North Carolina Senator -- Tar Heels Should Be Proud ... 'It Was a Great Game' (VIDEO)

North Carolina senator Richard Burr couldn't have been more supportive of the Tar Heels when we saw him out on Capitol Hill Tuesday ... saying, "Both teams should be extremely proud."

He even talked about UNC legend Michael Jordan and how he could probably sympathize with the basketball team after the heartbreaking loss to Villanova this week.
