Ryan Seacrest and Adriana Lima have been hanging out and even gone on a dinner date ... but we're told it's not a thing ... at least not yet.

The rumor mill was spinning hard again after Ryan and the supermodel were seen together a few days back after having dinner in Greenwich Village.

We're told the 2 struck up a friendship during the Rio Olympics ... where they both worked for NBC.
