R.I.P. to any chance of seeing Derek Fisher suit up for an NBA team again ... 'cause the 5-time champ says his playing days are OVER -- despite rumors of a comeback.

There were reports the 42-year-old was making a serious push to get back in the league back in the summer. Fish also posted impressive basketball training videos with the hashtag "Imnotdoneyet."
