Thomas Edison Light Bulbs Up for Auction!
Thomas Edison Here's a Bright Idea ... $10k for 5 Light Bulbs!
Thomas Edison wasn't ok with people ripping off his ideas, but this is your chance to rip off a bunch of his old memorabilia -- if you like grossly overpriced electric relics.
Heritage Auction is hawking 5 light bulbs and a socket preserved from the 19th century. Edison Electric used the gear during lawsuits against companies he claimed were copying his bright ideas. Heritage's estimate for the lot is $10,000 ... but expect to spend much more than that conservative number if you're interested.
Not into dead light bulbs? There's also a set of keys to Edison's Menlo Park lab where he invented his first commercial light bulb. Asking price -- $6,000!
You can bid online or in person in Dallas, starting December 3.
