Luigi Mangione is locked up in a notorious NYC federal detention center known for its horrible conditions -- and TMZ has been given the lowdown on his life behind bars.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us ... Mangione is tucked away in "administrative segregation" at MDC Brooklyn -- with a group of inmates separated from the general population because they require heightened security.

In the case of Mangione, he became infamous after being arrested for the high-profile murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson -- so he could be a target for other inmates. Hence, the extra security.

Our sources say Mangione's locked up in a single cell -- nobody's rooming with him. But, the cells are close together and inmates frequently talk to one another.

Luigi Mangione is not hanging out with Diddy at one of America's most notorious jails ... because they're being held in totally different cell blocks.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Luigi and Diddy are not in the same jail unit at MDC Brooklyn.

Reports surfaced last week speculating Luigi and Diddy would soon be held in the same protective jail unit, but we've learned that's not the case.

Comedian Tim Dillon has a new motto for the healthcare industry ... joking as the ghost of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson that the company will "deny, defend, decompose."

The star appears in Netflix's "Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year" -- which dropped Friday on the streaming giant -- hopping onstage in a get-up reminiscent of what Thompson wore when he was shot in Manhattan earlier this month ... with chains added to the ensemble.

Dillon's ghoulish gray appearance was met with a pretty mixed reaction from the audience -- some cheers, some groans. Dillon clearly picked up on the tension ... breaking character for a moment and joking he's "going to hell for this, you might as well laugh."

Florida authorities have arrested a woman for allegedly stabbing another woman more than a dozen times ... and cops think the stabbing could be over the tip the victim gave to the delivery person on her pizza and wings order.

Police arrested Brianna Alvelo on charges including attempted murder and kidnapping -- after they say they were called to a motel Sunday and came upon Melinda Irizarry, who was suffering from 14 stab wounds.

After getting out of surgery, Melinda told officers a woman came by about an hour before the stabbing to drop off a delivery order from a pizza shop.

Suspected Idaho murderer Bryan Kohberger could have had more practice than anyone thought before he allegedly killed 4 University of Idaho students ... turns out he was under investigation for a home invasion that had many of the markings of the savage murders.

The home invasion went down in Pullman, Washington in late 2021, a little more than a year before the Univ. of Idaho murders in a town just a few miles away.

A woman in the house told cops, "I heard my door open and I looked over, and someone was wearing a ski mask and had a knife."

Luigi Mangione's attorney is calling out NYC Mayor Eric Adams for putting on a dog and pony show with the alleged murderer that will make it impossible for her client to get a fair trial.

Karen Friedman Agnifilo went off on Mayor Adams and law enforcement Monday during Mangione's arraignment, blasting him for last week's scene on a helicopter pad as Mangione was extradited to face murder charges. You'll recall he was flanked by about a dozen NYPD officers and FBI agents -- many heavily armed -- as well as the Mayor himself.

Agnifilo says her client's Constitutional right to a presumption of innocence is being violated -- he was on display for everyone to see in the biggest staged perp walk I've ever seen in my career" ... none of which was necessary, she says, as Mangione's been totally cooperative since his arrest in PA.

Luigi Mangione says he's not guilty of slaying UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson -- he entered not guilty pleas Monday morning in New York State court.

Mangione pleaded not guilty to 11 state charges ... including first-degree murder, second-degree murder as crime of terrorism and multiple weapons charges.

The 26-year-old Ivy League grad was dressed like a college preppie -- a maroon sweater over a white collared shirt and khaki pants -- as he stood before the judge with his attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo.

Luigi Mangione's got hundreds of people donating money to his defense fund ... and a spokesperson for one committee is explaining why they're trying to help him pay his legal fees.

Jamie Peck -- a member of The December 4th Legal Committee -- tells TMZ … part of the reason why they started the fund for Mangione is their belief everyone deserves a fair trial – even someone accused of terrorism.

While Peck makes it clear she isn't co-signing the violence, she hopes the case will have people talking about the broken healthcare system in America.

Nina Thomas -- the estranged wife of Earl Thomas -- was hit with multiple criminal charges this week ... after prosecutors say she swindled the ex-Seattle Seahawks star out of millions of dollars.

Court documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, show feds allege Nina began her scheme to illegally take cash from her former lover in Sept. 2021 -- a short time after she filed for divorce from him in 2020.

Officials accuse Nina and another person -- whose name is redacted in the docs -- of taking money and property from Earl without his knowledge ... and transferring it into bank accounts under their control.

Ms. Grayson admits she has no memory of the events alleged in her complaint, does not know who was supposedly involved, and has never spoken to Mr. Combs. Her allegations against him are pure fiction. As we’ve said before, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every baseless lawsuit and lawyer-driven money grab. He has faith in the judicial process, in which fact will be separated from opportunistic fabrications like these."

Diddy is facing another sexual assault lawsuit ... and, this time the accuser has included pictures from the party where she was allegedly raped.

LaTroya Grayson -- an Oklahoma woman -- has filed a lawsuit against Diddy, Bad Boy Records and a series of other companies over a 2006 incident where she claims she went to a Combs party, and was drugged and raped.

Here's the deal ... according to the lawsuit, Grayson's sibling won a radio contest through KJAMZ -- a local Oklahoma radio station -- which included round-trip airfare for the winner and a guest, a hotel room in NYC, and two tickets to attend Diddy's "White Party" in NYC.

"1000-Lb Sisters" star Amy Slaton escaped a jail term in her Tennessee drug and child abuse case, cutting a plea deal that places her on supervised probation.

According to court documents and media reports ... Amy received a suspended jail sentence of nearly 1 year, meaning she won't spend a minute behind bars, after pleading guilty to a drug charge of “simple possession.”

Her two other charges -- child abuse and child endangerment -- were dismissed, per the legal docs.

A TikTok account that potentially belonged to the Wisconsin school shooter is now deleted on the heels of complaints about racist comments on the page ... TMZ has learned.

The account possibly belonging to 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow was first highlighted by the Anti-Defamation League's Center on Extremism -- and when we checked it out, we found it only had 2 posts, both related to the movie "Fight Club" ... but they were flooded with comments that were clearly left after the tragedy in Madison, WI.

We confirmed with the ADL the username its people observed was @targetedbloodsport -- and according to them, the account featured the phrase, "Totally nice day," similar to "Totally normal day" ... which the ADL claims is used by racists or white supremacists.

Luigi Mangione's leaving his orange jumpsuit at the courthouse door ... ditching the prison garb for a more fashionable ensemble in federal court Thursday.

According to reports, Mangione entered the Manhattan courtroom wearing "a white button-down shirt, navy three-quarter zip pullover and khaki pants."

Mangione wasn't handcuffed during his court appearance ... though, according to CNN, when court ended for the day Mangione was led from the room between two marshals with his ankles shackled.
