People who stay talking about missing the "old Kanye" might wanna listen to this -- 'cause Mr. West was in NYC dropping bars like it was 2004 again ahead of his album drop.

Ye was in Jamaica, Queens Sunday at The Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York, where he put on his weekly service with the help of the local congregation there -- and at one point, the MC did what he arguably does best (besides making music) ... spittin' rhymes!

Check it out ... Kanye joyfully rapped with the help of the choir behind him, and it sounds like the man was flowing from off the top. A pure freestyle, in other words.

He had the whole church rockin' with him too as he got everyone to put their hands up, jamming along to the music before eventually stepping back and letting another guy -- who looks like he might've been the pastor for the day -- take center stage again.

BTW, Ye had some talented company with him too. Word on the ground is Akon, Swizz Beatz and Alexander Wang were all in the building. So was Kim, North and Jonathan Cheban.

Bruce Springsteen seems stoked to see Jennifer Lopez and Shakira at the upcoming Super Bowl Halftime Show -- but, interestingly, he's not yearning for some good ol' rock 'n' roll.

We got the Boss Sunday in NYC, where we asked what he thought of the pop duo being announced as the headliners for Super Bowl LIV in February ... and he told us he thought they'd put on a fabulous show come halftime. He's a big fan of theirs, apparently.

Then, our photog asked an interesting question -- in light of Bruce's epic Halftime Show back in 2009, does he think Roger Goodell and co. are pivoting way too hard toward pop music ... and snubbing classic rock acts in the process for the big stage?

Sources close to Judy Garland's daughter tell TMZ ... she "most likely" won't see "Judy," starring Renee, because she's always stayed away from onscreen depictions of her mother or herself, and this one, in particular, has the potential to be painful viewing.

We're told Liza would find many of the scenes hurtful, and isn't looking to tarnish her memories of her mother. Our sources add, Liza believes if people want to see what Garland was like, they don't need a biopic -- they can simply watch her classic films or listen to her records.

Minnelli's half-sister, Lorna Luft, basically said the same recently, and reportedly won't be checking out Zellweger's performance either when the movie hits theaters this weekend.

As we've reported ... the Biebers are hosting their second round of nuptials this Monday at the Montage Palmetto Bluff -- a private 20,000 acre estate that's nestled up against the May River and features tons of buildings, including two chapels.

There's a smaller one, called the May River Chapel, and a larger one dubbed the Sommerset Chapel ... which can seat up to 185 guests. If the work being done on the grounds this Saturday is any indication, Justin and Hailey will put that bigger space to use.

Latin singer José José has died after a battle with cancer.

The Mexican cultural icon -- known as "El Principe de la Cancion," aka "The Prince of Song" -- passed away Saturday, according to his assistant Laura Nunez. Per reports, he died in a South Florida hospital -- and while cause of death hasn't been announced ... it was known he was fighting pancreatic cancer ... a diagnosis he went public with in 2017.

In a video he published in March of that year, Jose Jose told fans he was ready to take on this new adventure, while assuring them he'd fight through the illness.

Kanye West had a marathon day in the Motor City Friday, first hosting his usual Sunday Service event in the afternoon at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre ... and later debuting his new album, "Jesus is King," during a nighttime listening party at the Fox Theatre.

While dad handled his biz at the former, his wife had her hands full with their children -- North and Saint -- to the side of the stage as they played like there was no tomorrow. It's unclear if Chicago or baby Psalm was there or not, but they do not show up in these clips.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us Pitbull's camp has had recent talks with J Lo's team and the NFL about making the guest appearance happen. Metallica frontman James Hetfield is going back to rehab ... and as a result, the rock band is canceling a tour through Australia and New Zealand.

It's unclear what prompted the lead singer and rhythm guitarist to re-enter a treatment program ... but James' relapse is serious enough that he's going back to rehab for the first time since December 2001.

Metallica says they are postponing their upcoming tour down under.

A Friday statement from the band says ... "We are truly sorry to inform our fans and friends that we must postpone our upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand. As most of you probably know, our brother James has been struggling with addiction on and off for many years. He has now, unfortunately, had to re-enter a treatment program to work on his recovery again."

Justin and Hailey Bieber are getting ready for a lavish wedding in South Carolina ... but some of the guests at the hotel, where the shindig is going down, are LIVID because the nuptials are screwing with their vacations.

Justin and Hailey are set to walk down the aisle Monday at the Montage Palmetto Bluff, and some of the most prized areas on the property are being closed off from hotel guests.

The Montage hotel sent guests an email, obtained by TMZ, informing them their stay will have some pretty big hiccups. The email was sent late Wednesday, and some of the guests are angry they're getting such late notice.

According to the email, Montage guests are barred from using the spa, a pool and a fancy restaurant for 48 hours while the Biebers enjoy unlimited access during their destination wedding. The heavy restrictions are in place from noon Sunday to noon Tuesday -- so say goodbye to Sunday Funday.

Aubrey O'Day says she was shocked and disturbed when an American Airlines employee made her turn her shirt inside out in front of the entire plane, but as with most social media rants ... there's another side to it.

The Danity Kane singer took to Twitter Thursday night to put a male AA flight attendant on blast, claiming he treated her "like a punished lil child in timeout the entire flight" after making her undress in front of everyone because he "didn't like my shirt."

She also named the guy and called for the airline to fire him.

Witnesses on the flight tell TMZ ... there's more context to her story. We're told O'Day was boarding the plane while wearing a black shirt with bold white letters across the front, spelling out the word "F**k" ... uncensored.
