Awards season is picking up with the 2025 Gotham Awards ... and a bunch of huge stars turned up for the occasion ... with Rihanna and A$AP Rocky leading the way.

The award show is going down right now in New York City, and Hollywood is celebrating the best independent projects in film and television ... meaning this year's crop of blockbusters are not at the forefront of people's minds.

But, star power is not lacking at the Gotham Awards ... there's a bunch of famous couples, like Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, plus Adam and Jackie Sandler ... though neither is quite on RiRi and A$AP's level. Sorry.

Brooks Nader's hit reality show "Love Thy Nader" is coming back! Hulu just renewed it for a second season, and if the video we just got is any indication ... it's insanely sexy!

The decision came fast, too ... the series only just premiered on Freeform August 26 -- to rave reviews, of course -- and she even sent us a video of how she's celebrating the news.

Watch the video ... the sexy model serves supermodel chic in the clip, showing why she's the most sought-after woman in show biz.

California State Senator Ben Allen says Hollywood is showing signs of life again ... and he thinks Governor Gavin Newsom has a delicate act to balance.

Ben joined us on "TMZ Live" Monday, and we asked him about what a lot of folks in the film and TV industry in Los Angeles are feeling ... that Hollywood is dead because of overregulation, and other places are luring productions away from California with tax credits and incentives.

The Democrat -- who represents Santa Monica, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Torrance and other cities in L.A. County -- says the concerns are valid ... but he says a new bill he passed to increase the state's film and TV tax credit program from $350 million to $750 million is already paying off.

Looks like Taylor Sheridan's riding off into the sunset ... when it comes to his time at Paramount, at least.

The writer-producer's set to ditch his longtime home at Paramount to produce content over at NBCUniversal, according to Puck.

Sheridan's deal with the media company will see him producing film content starting next year, and he'll make a full break and start working on television projects for NBCUniversal after he finishes up his contractual obligations at the end of 2028.

"Outer Banks" co-creator and director Jonas Pate is still working on the popular Netflix series ... one day after the news dropped he put his hands on a production assistant and shook her while shouting in her face ... TMZ has learned.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Jonas was present on the set Thursday in Dubrovnik, Croatia, for the filming of the fifth and final season of the show. We're told Netflix never hit pause on the show's production.

Our sources say Jonas remains fully involved in the series currently ... although we're told his demeanor has quieted and the incident between him and the P.A. has not been addressed to the staff or crew.

Jimmy Kimmel's suspension is coming to an end.

His late-night talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" will return to ABC on Tuesday night.

The Walt Disney Company tells TMZ in a statement Monday ... "Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday."

Kelly Clarkson is hitting the reset button after the death of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock ... because cameras for her daytime talk show will roll again next week!

Production for "The Kelly Clarkson Show" kicks off the week of September 8, and all-new episodes will drop Monday, September 29 ... with the premiere week set to honor Texas flood heroes with some surprise moments.

We’ve known for a while that Season 7 of her daytime talk show was set to kick off early September, so Kelly’s right on schedule.
