Michael and Lindsay LohanThe nominees for Father of the Year are in -- and Michael Lohan's name is not on the list.

Battling with his ex-wife, Dina, over visitation rights, Papa Lohan issued a press release this week in which he spelled Lindsay's name wrong. You'd think he'd have screwed up the name of one of their non-famous kids.

"I look forward to order being restored to the chaos that our family life has become," the release reads, according to FishbowlNY. "Lyndsay, Michael, Ali and Cody need stability and both of their parents in their lives. I am anxious to spend time with them and end this cruel, needless separation."

Never misspell the hand that feeds you.

2. how do you have any proof that he was the one that typed it up? it could have been a careless (or deliberate) mistake via the hands of someone else. either way, if he did write it, that's sincerely unacceptable. but whatever.. what does he care, next month lindsay will be 21 and there's no law that can keep him from seeing her then.. she'll be an adult!

There are laws that prevent one person from seeing another...they are called "restraining orders"........whether you are over or under 21.....are you saying that Michael can't see his daughter because she is not yet 21???

7. Um, Kristen? The age of being a legal adult is 18. The age of 21 is when its legal to drink. Father Lohan is as messed up as the Mother Lohan. No wonder Lindsay alters her state. She wants to forget her heritage.

9. We love you LiLo! The only thing that dirtbag MiLo needs is a one way ticket to anywhere but here! Be as critical of DiLo as you all want, but she has been there for Lindsay from the start and got her away from that poor excuse for a "father" as fast as she could. The Lohan family has put up with this idiot long enough! Kick him to the curb, Lindsay! Stedman will make a much better father figure in your life. 11. this is a totally lame story but my younger sister's name is Lindsey and she spells just like I did because that's the way she likes it, our parents (and her birth cert., etc.) spell it Lindsay because according to them it's the correct spelling (who knew there was a right and wrong way) anywho my point simply is that the way we see Lindsay's name spelled could be the way she wanted it to be spelled and maybe at birth her father had intended it the other way.......just a random thought to consider if he did indeed type the message!!!

14. Stop talking about your daughter's private life to the press. If there comes a time when the two of you do begin talking... talk to HER about it. Learn things about your children... name spellings, birthdays, color of their eyes, remember what their early childhood fun times were like. Act like a man who wants to get re-acquainted with his kids, and it will happen. You can't have it both ways... talking about your daughter's substance abuse to the press and then expect her to trust you, and not be hurt by your actions.

15. maybe it wasnt him that spelt her name wrong. i see a lot of idiots in the media who are supposed to be profesionals always having typos and using false information. i think its just some asshole looking to cause more trouble the paparazzi and media are a bunch of assholes and need to leave these people alone or we will have a princess dianna situation here
