TMZ has obtained a photo of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie on the set of "The Simple Life," with one-time Oscar nominee Sally Kirkland in full-on blackface and an afro! Cards and letters to Ms. Kirkland! As TMZ reported in May, Nicole talked Kirkland, who plays a drama teacher, into donning the controversial getup to portray Lionel Richie in an episode of the reality show. Paging Rev. Al!
While the racy episode airs July 29 -- the fallout starts now!

Sally was amazing in the finale of the Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie's the "Simple Life". I did not realize what an historical figure Sally was to the legitimate Broadway community in Manhatten, New York. She was the very first woman to appear nude on a prosecnuim stage in the play "Sweet Eros" in NYC. WOW!!! In the last two episodes she gave the girls "real" advice in acting and encouragement. Kirkland is the living legacy of the ACTORS STUDIO.. Hollywood can be so superficial and fake. Sally shines with realism and a non materialistic approach with her understated clothing she wore on set. She is actually known for her vast collection of authentic couture dresses and gowns from Dior and Tadashi. She comes from a pedigree of fashion. Her mom was like the editor of VOGUE AND LIFE. I googled it!!! Sally Kirkland Sr. was very influential in the vision of style in woman's fashion for decades. Moreover, Paris and Nicole in the finale on stage wore PUCCI dresses from the Summer 2007 collection. That style by EMILIO PUCCI was popularized by her mom many years prior. Can we say retro!! Furthermore, the finale show had many great heart to heart moments. It was very well crafted from Shakespeare to a modern day Paris and Nicole musical..... I loved loved loved the ending. Abercrombie and Fitch esque male model "Hunter" gets to kiss Fashionista Paris Hilton. Sally ties up her performance by letting Paris know that she has a special gift and words of love and kindness to her. They hug and it is a sincere final moment in TV History. I also enjoyed seing John Frederick who plays Sally's assistant in the opening sequences and Braxton was very comical.. GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!
