Having read the paperback book "The Outsiders" while in high school,
I loved the movie. It really was almost as good as the book. I don't want to see what Ponyboy looks like all
grown up!
Tommy's a great guy, and very, very funny. One of those guys who you can just kick back with. He had a great radio show on Free FM for awhile with Kirk Fox - it sucks it's no longer on, it was so funny. They still have podcasts up at http://www.971freefm.com/pages/321794.php
Glad to see he's doing so well and looking good - he's lucky to be alive after the ruptured appy, that's for damn sure.

I was an extra in the movie The Outsiders and wow does this bring back memories! We had so much fun on that movie set. all the cast and crew were great. What an experience that was.
He filmed a movie in my hometown and he was a right jerk to people there. He acted like we OWED him. Let's just say the town was happy to see him and one of his co stars ( Who was kicked out of every bar in town for being drunk and stupid) leave. BTW the movie BOMBED go figure.
As a teacher, I gave my students the gift of reading The Outsiders. It is timeless in theme, conflict, on an on, and C. Thomas Howell and the rest of the budding cast--Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, etc. brought Susie Hinton's novel to life perfectly. You have to love that boy.
