UPDATE 1:37 PM PT: We just spoke to someone who has seen video of the incident -- and we're told absolutely no one else was involved in the accident.
We're told Brad tried to maneuver his bike between a parked car and a car stopped at a red light, and his handlebars clipped the parked car.
We're told he lost control and fell over -- and everything is fine.
TMZ has learned Brad Pitt was involved in a minor motorcycle accident moments ago in Los Angeles.
A witness at the scene tells us Pitt was trying to weave in between cars while at a red light -- but he lost control and fell off the bike.
We're told he got up and moved the motorcycle to the side of the road then ran into an apartment building.
Our witness says he waited for someone to come pick him up and now he's no longer at the scene. Pitt left his motorcycle behind.

This is what happens to motorcyclists in Los Angeles that have made it such a terrible habit to split cars. Instead of being a patient and responsible operator of a motor vehicle, Mr. Pitt insisted on driving recklessly and damaging somebody else's property. Let this be a lesson to you motorcycle riders that split cars. Wait your turn people. You're not special because you have only two wheels. And another thing, why did he run into an apartment building? Was he meeting somebody there?
Driving between lanes here gets you a $200 ticket and 3 points. That's if someone doesn't intentionally open their door on you. It's fun watching the cops pick off motorcycles who fail to wait their turn in their proper lanes.

If that is the case...I really wish those who rode motorcycles would follow the same rules as cars. Can you imagine the guilt one would feel if they killed someone on a motorcycle, even if it was not his or her fault??!! My Dad was in a bad motorcycle accident as a teenager; he was hit by a car. Now, in his fifties he has health issues related to the accident so long ago. Even if you survive an accident, you might be dealing with a lot of crap down the road. Be safe!
