Sean Penn Sued -- Photog Claims Death Threat

Sean Penn threatened to kill a paparazzo if he ever ran into him again ... this according to a new lawsuit filed by the photog.

Jordan Dawes alleges he was filming a documentary about paparazzi last October in Brentwood, CA when Penn suddenly began "kicking and punching" him.

In the suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Dawes says Penn broke his camera and then said "the next time I see you, you will be in a box."

As we first reported, Dawes said he had to have knee surgery ... the result of the alleged attack.

Penn was charged with criminal battery and vandalism over the incident back in February. That case is pending.

Sounds like Jordan Dawes is quite the wussy. Or quite the famewhore. I suppose he can be both at the same time.

Author David Sedaris Admits “Full House” Fabrication, Offers Regrets to Fans

Story about nude teenage strip poker party was not "the Full Monty."

(New York) April 5, 2010 – On the eve of a 35-city national book tour, award-winning author David Sedaris admitted to fabricating parts of a short story entitled “Full House,” which appeared in his recent book of short stories, “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim.”

“Full House” purported to tell the story of an all-male slumber party that Sedaris was invited to during his teenage years in 1960s Raleigh, North Carolina. The party allegedly evolved into a game of strip poker, in which Sedaris was the winner. As a penalty, Sedaris required a fully naked boy to sit on his lap. The boys involved were 14 at the time.

“There truly was an all-male slumber party, and we did play cards,”
Sedaris said through a spokesperson. “But that’s pretty much where
truth ends and fantasy begins. This story was not really 'the Full
Monty.'”

The well-known story has been included in many collections of teenage erotica.

Through a spokesperson, Sedaris said he wasn’t playing with a “full
deck” when he chose to include that story in “Dress Your Family in
Corduroy and Denim,” and attributed the lapse to nicotine addiction. Sedaris has since quit smoking.

“I regret the deception and apologize to anyone who may have been
offended,” said the Mark Twain prize winner.

It isn’t the first time Sedaris has been involved in a fabrication
controversy. The most recent involved an article written by Alex Heard and published in the New Republic in which Sedaris was accused of fabricating the colors of several automobiles as well as
fictionalizing various architectural styles.

Sedaris has said he exaggerates mostly dialogue in his writing, but
contends the events and situations he writes about are true.

His embellishments are nothing, he said, compared to James Frey, whose memoir, "A Million Little Pieces," was partly fabricated.

Sedaris’ publisher, Little Brown, said that it regrets the erroneous inclusion, adding that Sedaris is a “20th Century genius.” Sedaris is the brother of Little, Brown author Amy Sedaris.

Win or loose, right or wrong every incident where the Paps are involved is another nail in their coffin and that is a good thing. The authorities are getting sick of Pap related trouble and the laws are coming. Then Harvey will have to crawl back under his rock.

Sean made it clear a couple of decades ago "back off" to the STALKING scumbags....I love TMZ - but how would you or anyone like having the a-holes messing with you in your hood, house or driveway?? I'm for Sean and was back in the 80's too. How about we give the addresses of your crew and let people torment and hassle them at home..

Good for Sean! TMZ / and other paparazzi invade a persons most private lives and then act surprised or play the victim when celebrities fight back. Its a joke. How sad that TMZ makes their living invading a persons privacy. I wish more celebrities fought back like Sean. Well done Sean! You should have taken out both knees.
