Mindy McCready Hospitalized -- Possible OD

Mindy McCready has been hospitalized in Cape Coral, Florida for a possible drug overdose.

TMZ has learned the fire department was called to McCready's mother's house in North Fort Myers at 10:45 AM today.

McCready was taken to Cape Coral Hospital.

Her condition is unknown.

I don't know why people are blaming Dr. Drew He can give them the tools to help them stay off of drugs or alcohol but its up to them to stay off of the stuff. I like Dr Drew and think he truly cares about helping people. People have to want to get better in order to get better.

As for Dr. Drew curing them forever, that's ABSURD. They do the work and if they aren't strong enough or want sobriety bad enough it certainly isn't HIS failure. It's hers! For once be fair.

Nobody can cure a drug addict but themselves, when they take responsibilty for their own actions they will get better. Don't blame Dr. Drew.

As sad as her situation is, she is still a person who needs help, desperately. I live less than a mile from her mom and the hospital she's in. If I thought it would help, I would be the FIRST one down there to help her get her life back on track. I've been where she is, albeit not nearly as tragic...it;s just hard for her to see a better way for herself and her child. Prayers for all.
