Mexico Wants Producer Extradited for Murder

6/23/2010 1:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0611_bruce_BN_TMZ_01Mexican prosecutors have made an official request to the United States to have former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman extradited to Mexico so he can be tried for the murder of his wife, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Beresford-Redman has already been formally accused of the crime.  Now a U.S. federal judge will hold a hearing to decide if BBR should be sent to Mexico.

BBR lawyer, Richard Hirsch, has already said he will fight extradition.

BBR says he did not kill Monica Burgos Beresford-Redman.

I will be absolutely shocked of a US judge does not agree with the extradition. Mexico still has his passport. He entered the US illegally without his passport. He's charged with a crime in the country he fled from. SEND HIM BACK!!

If he didn't kill her there shouldn't be a problem. Go clear your name. Oh, wait, that's right, you're a total POS who, based on your actions, probably did kill her. Of course you don't want to go back.

It’s ridiculous that his lawyer thinks it would be easy to fight extradition. This is a murder case. The only issue will be of the issue of identity and that is a non issue in this case. He and his lawyer can’t prove his innocence to a federal US judge as it is out of US jurisdiction. He will have to prove his innocence in Mexico. He won’t get bail here in the US while fighting extradition as he has already proved himself a flight risk. If he was legally allowed to leave Mexico then he would have retrieved his passport before leaving.
Mexico has conclusive DNA evidence so if a stranger killed her then why only Bruce’s DNA was found on her body? What happened to the supposed killers’ DNA? Why doesn’t his lawyer have a better argument than ‘it happens a lot around there so it is not Bruce?’ What physical evidence or witnesses do Bruce and his lawyers have to prove a stranger did it?
Bruce will not gain custody of his children until he gets his name cleared in Mexico so why is he prolonging the custody issue by hiding behind extradition?
Additionally Monica’s family could easily sue him in a US civil court for wrongful death for major monitory penalties on Bruce.

The FBI has been on the case over 2 months and has gathered lots of evidence against Bruce, he could face charges here If he survives 20 years in a Mexican Hell Hole. Stop running like a little girl Bruce! Go to Mexico and clear your name if your innocent. If Monica was'nt killed in your room, why is her blood all over the carpet the walls and in the hallway? Who was the lady screaming for help from your room the night she was killed? Im kinda suprised that some hood has'nt provided street justice yet, stop being such a Pu**y you murdered Monica now It's time to pay the reaper. YOU ARE A COWARD WHO DESERVES TO BE TORTURED. Just kill yourself already Bruce! Your too much of a coward to live 30 years in prison. You go shopping in Beverly Hills, drive Monica's car. file a fake will and try to steal her assets, what a punk you are!!!

Send him back to Mexico. Let him stand trial for the crime he is accused of. American's cannot be allowed to go into another country and commit crimes and then hide here. Our justice system has no business telling another country how to enforce its laws or when they can prosecute offenders. Mexico has laws and a right to enforce and prosecute. Send Bruce to Mexico!!!!

If indeed he is innocent then go down and clear your name. If not go down and take your medicine. We Americans think we can go to other counries and do whatever we want and only be held to our legal system. WRONG!!! When in Mexico you are under their laws not America's. Your rights as an American do not supercede the the obligation to follow another countries laws. Our state/country should do nothing for this man but send him back to Mexico.
