TV 'Matchmaker' Shreds Stylist a la Christian Bale

8/30/2010 7:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Patti Stanger, TV's "Millionaire Matchmaker," went absolutely nuclear on a stylist who didn't bring nearly enough style to the table -- in Patti's opinion -- and the ballistic tirade was all caught on tape.

TMZ obtained a recording of the recent NYC meeting between Patti, her stylist Lauren Solomon, and a few other assistants. According to sources, Lauren was showing Patti possible outfits for upcoming TV appearances ... including a "Today" segment with Elle magazine's Joe Zee.

As Patti shrieked -- in her best Christian Bale voice -- "This is Elle f**king magazine! This is the big one!!" Another must-hear gem ... Patti's rant about the proper way to take measurements.

We're told Patti and Lauren are "best friends" and that Patti viewed this as "just an argument."

We're guessing a little Prada would've gone a long way to calm the situation.

The taping might be not illegal. But if you want to proof that your employer in treating you véry véry bad, you have no other option sometimes.... This is taped for a REASON.
What Patti Stanger is doing is ALSO ILLEGAL.

That is so wrong to treat people like that! I am not going to say anything about how Patty looks because that has nothing to do with how she ACTS. But sadly, she is just one of many who act that way in Hollywood and I am guessing if you were to secretly audio-tape alot of these celebrities, you would be surprised at what you would hear. What ever happened to treat others like you yourself would like to be treated? This is just a sad situation, but reality also.

patty is not a person anyone would want to meet she is ugly and her show is just like the all you can eat buffet but can't take leftovers home. this show is unreal who would make a show like this and even more interesting who would watch it? the way she blows up at people because they don't go by her "rules" is funny and the people on her show do get mad when she kicks them off her show. pretty sad and the people who watch it.

While her tone at times was not the nicest in the world, Patti wasn't just ranting for the sake of ranting. Just like people pay her good money to do her job, which clearly she does if she's successful enough to have her own TV show and be requested to be in magazines and on talk shows, I'm sure she's paid her stylist equally as well to make her look incredibly well put together. While the f-bombs weren't called for, she pointed out how appearing on a regular TV show versus live-TV that outfits need to conform to rules in order to make individuals look appropriate, such as..skirts that aren't too short when they might perch her on a high-stool or something. Also, if I'm paying someone to make me look good...dressing someone 101- remember SIMPLE things like NO V-NECKS! All those thinking she's just on a tirade...shame on you! You can't have lived through life without at least once, berating someone about the service you received/didn't receive after paying for it...She didn't attack the woman by claiming she's fat or ugly. She simply expressed the facts, just not in a polite way.
