Lobbyists Use MJ's Death

to Restrict Propofol

9/20/2010 4:20 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson's death is Exhibit A for California lobbyists who are pushing for a law restricting the use of Propofol.

MJ's Death
Michael's Law is being pushed by a group of people ... all of whom have lost loved ones to the misuse of Propofol. They've been going door-to-door in L.A. and Santa Barbrara -- handing out leaflets that describe the drug and how it killed MJ.

Their goal is "to prevent doctors from making careless choices, and stop them from administrating drugs that should not be administered outside of the hospital setting."

The Drug Enforcement Administration just announced it's considering tighter restrictions on Propofol.

ps. F* you PASSION OF THE TAINT How can you call him selfish and self-absorbed person if you don't even know what he accomplished during his life? Haow many millions have you donated to charities? Have you even spoken out for any cause? He did and he saved the world.

Why bother, I truly loathe you for your words...

---------------
Don't you guys know rich people make huge money donations to charity for TAX DEDUCTION PURPOSES????? To avoid paying huge amount in taxes??????? That's exactly what MJ did. I didn't see him in Africa tending the sick or working hands on for the charities he supposedly supported. Get out of your hole in the ground and see the real MJ for what he was: a creepy deeply disturbed man

Propofol should only be used in the proper hospital/surgical center setting. It should only be administered by a trained anesthesiologist, who is properly monitoring the patient. This is a good idea.

This is wonderful news! I truly wish them the very best. However, I do so wish that law had been in place long before Michael's passing! Even now, after Michael's passing - he is still trying to save lives and bringing people together. Thank You So Much Michael! This is wonderful news. I wish them all the best in getting this law passed. However, I do wish that such a law would have been in place long before Michael passed away. Even now, after his passing, he is still trying to save lives and bringing people together. Thank You Michael! Your Fans and I love and Miss You So Much Here!

Michael's law can help save thousands of lives in the future. With this law enforced, doctors will have no excuse to administer propofol at home and killing their patients.

I like this solution to the "hoax" theory the best! And the Propofol controversy.

"Dig up Jacko!"
Calls for retest on King of Pop's body
By James Desborough, US Editor, 29/08/2010

MICHAEL Jackson's body may have to be unearthed in a bid to get his doctor off the hook in court.

Conrad Murray's lawyers plan to challenge the star's autopsy, which found he killed him with an overdose of sedative Propofol.

It's fine to make laws to restrict the use of Propofol outside of a hospital/surgical setting but I don't think it should be named "Michael's law". Let's remember his wonderful, creative, generous legacy...not the propofol.

And, everyone talks about his dependency on propofol. Do we KNOW this to be true? Do we KNOW that he requested this drug? Or is it more garbage fed to the masses to cover the truth?

RIP MJ
Missing you always
