As much as this pains me to say, she does have a disease. Drug and/or alcoholism is not a choice. Learned that the hard way. It is something your body literaly craves for whatever reason. I think she has misused the system, but she needs real help, and a change in friends.

Really, m.b.? You popped out of your mother's womb and immediately headed out to get stoned? Bull****! You made a choice to take drugs that you knew were addictive. Most people don't make that choice. You took a chance and lost. You did it to yourself. It is not something that just happened to you. It is your doing. Your fault. Live with it. There is no disease that makes you start to use drugs.

She's not high. This photo and the photo of her coming out of AA, she doesn't have that crazed meth/coke-head look. She looks cleareyed and kind of peaceful. Never realized until now that pretty much every photo I had ever seen of her she was crankin' cokin', croakin'.

she should go to jail so she can get help or at least learn her lesson. She should not be treated any different then any other person.

I wonder what the typical "man-on-the-street" DA has to say about this? Maybe one outside of the state of California? Would they say that this is typical handling in this situation for any other Jane Smith? Part of me wants to say "No" that this has to be special handling of a celebrity, but the oter part of me never went to law school, and has never had anything more serious than a speeding ticket, so I don't really know. I do know that Robert Downey Jr didn't get off his roller coaster in the courts til he did serious time. I think LiLo could use some of the same "kid glove off" handling.
