I can't believe you can basically do drugs in California and it doesn't matter. Through the use of bail and jail overcrowding you never have to do jail time. They give you 30 days in jail, you post bail and then due to overcrowding you only have to go to jail to fill out the paperwork and then leave. This cycle then just continues...jail, bail, paperwork, overcrowding, free. This makes the justice system look so bad.

Maybe she'll start huffing. I hear that's out of your system within 10 minutes.

Staying out of the driver's seat is possibly one of the best decisions she has made for herself lately. Sadly though, it probably means she is using and is looking to avoid another DUI. It seems that Ms. Lohan only does what serves Ms. Lohan.

#11. She only posts those things because you guys keep antagonizing her. Everyone is on here calling her all sorts of names and saying how you wish bad things to happen to her. She is playing by the rules of the american justice system. Leave her alone and she wont feel so important.

Recovery is about humility. I would have been surprised and hopeful for her recovery if she were instead to have cooked a meal for herself at home rather than driving her glitzy car to the most glamorous restaurant she could find. The judge could easily play into this by giving her a pass on her failed drug tests. She is managing and controlling her world (or thinks she is), and she hasn't had to pay significantly for it yet. She hasn't hit bottom. You have to hit bottom to decide to change. Read the first step again, Lindsay. It's first for a reason.

You folks do realize that #11 aka "Jay" is the person with the mock twitter account "liloinpsychoward" right? Right? Damn kids...use google.

Does Hollywood do this to everybody? In #11, she's tweeting about hoping court is over in time to get to her spa treatment? Does she have a handler? Is anyone managing this woman's career? She is a highly enabled addict, able to flash a smile and get into anything she wants to anywhere in the world. Drug laws are apparently a nuisance to her, like a buzzing fly.
I suspect that Paris Hilton type jail time will only be seen as a sort of badge of honor if she gets more. Her bottoming out point before she realizes she has lost control of her life will probably have to be the loss of her fame/career. The problem there is that the more trouble she gets in, the more we want to see her. We are the carnival goers, and the barker is calling out "Come see the incredible two header snake woman eat her own tail!"
She has no real reason to get clean and sober. It may be the worst thing for her career, in a perverse way.

#16. "the use of bail" is the cornerstone of the american justice system and is clearly spelled out on this little sheet of paper I like to call the constitution. Its good reading if you guys have the time. She is a train wreck. But she isnt beating people up, she isnt carrying weapons, she isnt SELLING drugs and has no violent history in the eyes of the court. All of these charges, even the DUI a while back, are misdemenours. Jail sentences are for repeat felons with violent history. People who commit rapes and murders get bail. People who molest children get bail. CEO's who steal millions of dollars get bail. She is a low level offender. You cant set her bail higher or refuse it because you dont like her.

People screw up, I get it. But 2 DUI's, failed court ordered probation provisions and 2 failed piss tests ought to count for something.

Yeah, she didn't kill anyone (which could have easily happened during either of those DUI's). But wouldn't her record show that she IS a danger...ie, likely to repeat?

You're right..we AREN'T talking about someone selling drugs or shoplifting. We're talking about someone operating a 2000 lb plus piece of machinery, intoxicated on one thing or another, on the roads with innocent people. Twice. And someone who couldn't stay sober for 3 weeks.

I hate her throw her in jail and let her sit there a year at least.

Also, what I'm wondering is....at what point DOES a repeat DUI/DWI become a felony? Never? I mean, how many times is someone allowed to drive a vehicle under the influence when the problem becomes SERIOUS? Do we have to wait until they actually kill someone?

I'm confused. I thought you said she was at the grocery store getting groceries to MAKE her last meal? You know, the picture that shows her loading groceries into her Porsche?
Ohhhhhh I get it now. One last dose of cameras clicking at her before she goes, she had to get that last hit of the one of her addictions that isn't illegal. LOL
