10/3/2010 10:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

TMZ has obtained footage from Greg Giraldo's last stand-up gig -- taken the night before the comic overdosed -- in which Greg appeared to be his usual self ... crackin' jokes about sex, drugs and Tiger Woods.

After the performance at the Stress Factory in New Brunswick, NJ on September 24 -- Greg took photos with several fans ... all of whom told us he couldn't have been nicer.

The following night, Greg was rushed to a local hospital from an overdose on pills.  He passed away 5 days later.

Greg Giraldo was very popular on the east coast. His best work was done on the comedy central roasts but if you azzcracks who say you never heard of him do not watch comedy central how would you have heard of him. His standup was good but not as good as he was at roasting people. I personally never care when someone populat OD's ...but for some reason his death bothered me. Maybe it is because how much he was like by other comedians....maybe because he had a promising career making people laugh ...who wouldn't want to do that ??? Maybe it was because he left behind a loving family ...

My parents use to know Greg's parents when his parents lived in Atlanta, GA and they told my mom that Greg had an addiction problem and it only got worst when his father died. Greg use to be a lawyer too. He had personal issues which started his addiction in the first place.

I am more bummed about Greg's death that I was about George Carlin's death. Carlin lived a pretty long life and accomplished everything. Greg was only half-way there. The world sucks more with him on the planet.

I can't imagine why anyone would react to any critical or negative comments about Mr. Giraldo. He made a living ridiculing anything and everything. There were no sacred cows and everything was fair game. He sliced and diced with his words, used the most vulgar and profane language and showed mercy to no one. And just as long as it was called "comedy" it was acceptable. Correct? So what's the big problem with people calling him a drug addicted alcoholic who was divorced twice and mocked God? Hey, it's all just fun, right? Nothing mean or hateful about it, right? You can ridicule the retarded, slam obese kids, call women the C word and basically not be considered a rude, ill bred, atheistic, idiot....just as long as you say that you are a comedian. Now wasn't THAT funny? No? I guess you just have no sense of humor! You poor thing.

To the *******s disrespecting Greg,

"Greg would easily defend himself by humiliating you horribly with words, if he could come back from the dead, But I think he'd rather stay where he is that waste his time on a peice of terd like you!"

RIP Greg! The world is a lesser place! You were the True Roast Master!
