'Two and a Half Men'

Kid Scores

MASSIVE Contract

10/8/2010 10:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

While most 16-year-olds are scrounging around for minimum wage jobs ... the kid from "Two and a Half Men" just locked up a brand new contract worth $300,000 per episode ... TMZ has learned.

1007_money_angus_tmz
Angus T. Jones -- who plays Charlie Sheen's nephew Jake Harper on the show -- signed a minumum 26 episode deal on May 12, 2010 ... which means dude will make $7.8 mil over the next two seasons ... plus a $500,000 signing bonus.

That's just the minumium he's guaranteed. The reality is ... CBS has guaranteed 48 episodes over the next two seasons, which means Angus would pocket $14.4 mil total, plus that $500,000 signing bonus.

Right around the time Jones inked his deal ... Charlie Sheen signed a contract worth $2 mil an episode ... which translates to $52 mil over the next two seasons.

With bonuses and whatnot, Charlie will pull in more than $98 million.

Because Jones is a minor, his contract had to be approved by an L.A. County Superior Court judge ... who makes less in a year than Jones makes in a week.

By the way -- today is ATJ's 17th birthday ... he should probably go buy himself something nice.

Good for him!

Don't watch this show...too painful. Every time I turn it on Charlie's in bed with someone new. Disgusting!

Fart Joke

Just goes to show, the average television viewer prefers predictable, rehashed fart and sex jokes over creativity. This show is probably hilarious if you're drunk.

Charlie Sheen, now clearly looks Dried, Dyed, and Done. He no longer shows even a spark of the charm and wit (which was always in limited supply) that drew people to the character's personality. Jon Cryer deserves kudos for providing 80% of the energy of this series. Unfortunately, for that very reason this character became overwritten and eventually became a tedious, vapid cliché. Conchata Ferrall did an excellent job playing "Berta", and I'm sure we'll see her again in something else.

The best thing about this series coming to an end is that none of us will ever again have to set eyes on Angus T. Jones who has NEVER added anything to the series as "Jake". Serving only, as a vehicle to the storyline. Okay the first two years he was cute and charming enough. But the thing that irks me most is how anyone could be in a TV series this long without developing a single shred of skill or instinct?

I believe this will be the last season. Charlie Sheen, now clearly looks Dried, Dyed, and Done. the show is funny, but a little unrealistic. ..
there is a good article here on how the show is making way too much money for the caliber.

What about Jon Cryer, the show would be just less than half as funny without him?

Shocking amounts of money being paid to actors on a lame show. Who the heck is watching it?

I love ALL of the characters in 2-1/2 Men. It's my favorite show, and I'm glad the people in charge are paying all of their people good so that we can continue watching. Go Men!

He really is good on the show. Even past the cute kid/prop/nothing much expected phase. Let's hope he saves all his pennies, though, no guarantee of a career in the biz as an adult.
