Banned from Booze

for 3 Years

11/5/2010 6:39 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Lil Wayne is not allowed to consume one single drop of alcohol for the next three years of his life -- this according to probation documents obtained by TMZ.

Lil Wayne alcohol:
The documents -- which became effective today -- clearly state that Wayne "may not consume or drink any substance containing alcohol" as long as he's on probation ... for the next 36 months.

Wayne is also prohibited from knowingly associating with any person engaged in criminal activity or any person with a criminal record without prior written approval from the probation department.

And Wayne cannot possess illegal drugs, toxic vapors or controlled substances.

He's also required to submit to drug and alcohol testing, per the probation dept.

If Wayne violates any of the terms of his probation -- he could be sent to prison to serve out the remainder of his term.

If this isn't a set up for failure I don't know what is. That said I know the dept of probabtion and parole can impose some pretty weird conditions. I have a friend who was busted for a white collar non violent crime yet when he was paroled he was banned from owning guns or explosives through out his parole period. Funny thing was he had commited a computer crime but there were no conditions about owning a computer.

Is this irony or what??? Self-entitled loser Lindsey Lohan jacks an SUV, chases down a former employee coked out of her mind, endangering at least 3 people let alone anyone she might have passed on PCH the night of the pursuit - walks the streets out of control for over a year without a conviction in and out of celebrity rehab facilities ultimately avoiding incarceration for a parole violation by hiding out at the Betty Ford Clinic - Meanwhile Platinum artist Lil Wayne winds up in Rikers for a single weapons charge stemming from a search of his tour bus at a border crossing which various drugs along with the weapon are found. During his stay in Rikers, he even releases sucessful CDs... produced while incarcerated. Weezy's parole... no booze for 3 years!!! What's wrong with this picture???

It's a shame when the system is forced to watch over him like a child bcuz he doesn't know how to make good decisions for himself. He'll be back soon!!!

lol 3 years? Yeah, that'll happen.

This dude has fried his brain cells so bad he's no longer coherent half the time, yet you expect him to resist alcohol for more than a week? That requires brain power. Fat chance.

This is exactly why I would never take an early release deal if I ever (while highly unlikely) was senentenced to prison. Probation and parole requirements are set up not for success but failure. They are intended to keep you in the system with unrealistic expectations that they know the particular offender will be unable to abide by. It will be especially difficult for someone in the limelight like Lil Wayne not the get caught slippin...which he will probably sooner than later. If more people just served out their full sentences for real freedom at the end they would ultimately serve less time because violations will only add time to the original sentence in the end. People are too stupid to figure that out though. The system is intentionally set up that way to bilk $$$. Think of all of the attorneys, police, probation/parole agents, correctional officers, and prison-related employees that Lil Wayne will keep employed once he violates the terms of his agreement. It's a business just like any other people even if it is a public sector industry. Why would they want to see you succeed when it is so much more lucrative to see you fail?

This is BS!! Alcohol, in and of itself, is NOT illegal. Hence, I see no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to drink.

Lil Wayne this could be a blessing. YOU CAN enjoy life without drinking and still be a good rapper. Prison is not a place you want to live. Hang with the right people and maybe you could be a good mentor to teens that are on the wrong path. 3 years will go by fast and you might even like living life sober. If you hang out with the same people you will get the same results. Next time could cost your career or life. Its mazing how when your in jail those people arent their to support you. They are to busy destroying their life and feeding their addictions.

Does that mean he can't take liquid cold meds like NyQuil? Or mouthwashes like Listerine? (both of which have a high alcohol content)
