Lindsay Lohan Jewelry Heist
The D.A. has three options:  Filing a felony grand theft charge, filing a misdemeanor grand theft charge or not filing any charges.

...are you nuts or a Lohan.

BS. Klepto Lohan likely took the necklace, like she just takes so many other things and didn't think they would call her on it.

No way an employee would risk their job and not "loan" it properly.

"Worn by Lindsay Lohan" is not an endorsement companies want now a days. More like "we turned that entitled Lindsay down for free stuff", that people like.

For the record, 1 Charlie Sheen hooker = 12 Lilo "grand theft" necklaces. And that's NOT including the 5 kilos of cocaine...

Go get her, DA! Make it safe for me to strip and do blow with Charlie without fear of running into overpriced crap jewelry.

A Columbia co-ed wants to know how Lindsay Lohan ended up wearing her $11,000 blond mink coat - and is demanding the "Mean Girl" pay for the impromptu rental.

Masha Markova, 22, believed she had forever lost the prized jacket - a gift from her grandmother - while attending a private birthday party at 1Oak in the Meatpacking District in the early-morning hours of Jan. 26.

PHOTO GALLERY: Lohan's Coat Trouble

The club was closed for a friend of jet-setting playboy Stavros Niarchos, Markova said.

She added that at one point, she was seated next to Lohan, and recalled putting the mink in a common bin with other jackets.

It was gone when she prepared to leave 1Oak after an hour, Markova said.

Two weeks later, Markova flipped through the Feb. 11 edition of OK! Magazine and couldn't believe her eyes - Lohan was photographed the night of Jan. 26 wearing the very same fur coat.

"I was actually talking on the phone to my grandmother about something else, and then I flipped through the magazine, saw the picture said, 'I need to call you back,' " Markova told The Post yesterday.

"It was my coat. It was no doubt!"

The pretty co-ed said that in the ensuing days, she surfed the Internet and found several paparazzi photos of Lohan wearing the distinctive blond coat hours after the birthday party they had both attended.

Also, celebrity blogs posted pictures of the actress party-hopping that night - wearing a black coat before she arrived at 1Oak, Markova said.

Club owners vowed to get to the bottom of it, but several days passed with no call back, Markova said.

That's when her immigration lawyer, Merrill Cohen, called Lohan's high-powered Hollywood attorney, Blair Berk, threatening litigation.

Hours later, Markova said she heard from 1Oak.

"They were very discreet, never mentioned a name or even the word 'coat,' " Markova said. "They just said, 'We're going to bring you something.' "

The coat arrived at Markova's Morningside Heights apartment two days later.

Reeking of cigarettes and booze with a slight tear in the lining, the fur coat was no worse for wear after a dry cleaning and quick patch-up.

Still, she wants answers - and Lohan to own up to swiping her coat.

"I don't see how it could have been an accident," Markova said.

Markova and her lawyer stopped short of accusing Lohan of wrongdoing. But they still want her to pay at least $10,000 for the unauthorized, three-week rental.

Lohan's spokeswoman did not return calls.

A 1Oak rep confirmed that the club delivered Markova's fur coat back to her in February.

The judicial system in California is just like it's residents.
No clue.

I think she should go to jail, its the only thing that will save her life and maybe open her eyes to the fact that both of her parents use her. They are to blame for the way she has turned out. I was hoping she was going to finally get her life back on track once she left rehab, guess not. Toss her in jail like the judge did for robert downey jr, only thing thats going to save her life now.

Usually, I'm not on Li-Lo's side, but I find it suspicious that the jeweler waited to report the incident until there was a photo of her wearing their necklace, a day later. It's a little hinky. Plus, we were told yesterday that there was supposed to be a decision today or tomorrow, but after Li-Lo went to speak with her probation officer, they now have decided to postpone their decision. Sounds like they heard her story and it has some merit.

pink glitter

Its absolutely mind boggling that her camp does not realize that every time she gets away with everything, the more we hate her..its human nature.

What will it mean for her if she gets a misdemeanor? Will she automatically go to jail, since she's on probation??

THEY WON'T DUE S**T TO HER. She's still and always will be a useless piece of S**T. Make an example of her sticky fingers and fried brain........

I emailed my thoughts about this case to the LAPD and the FBI. She was tipped off about the warrant so obviously she has people in our justice system on her pay roll that break the law. This should be addressed in this case. I send a very detailed letter to the 2 agencies that said that if this was a nobody they would be locked up already. Why are people dragging their feet and not putting her behind bars for grand theft? It's bc somebody is getting paid to do it.

I said that if she didn't get prosecuted it would be a awful disregard for the legal system these cops protect. I suggest everyone that believes that this horrible person is guilty to contact the LAPD and state your case. These people can't get away with this stuff anymore. If I walked out of a corner store with a pack of gum I would be arrested on the spot. Something fishy is going on here.

All three of those points are laugh-out-loud stupid, but none more so than the last one, because in 2008 that’s precisely how she got caught stealing a fur coat, and then again last April for wearing a stolen Rolex. And was the store really supposed to track her down themselves? Is that how it works now? We have to catch our own criminals? Like, on a horse with a net, and just throw it over people who stole my bread? Can I throw a trident at someone too? Because now this is starting to sound pretty good. -
