Cowboy Stadium Falling Ice

Five of the injured were transported to local hospitals, one of them being critical. We're told the other injured person was transported by private vehicle.

A rep for the NFL tells TMZ: "The ice and snow melting off of the Cowboys Stadium roof has caused several sliding snow falls onto the plazas. There have been several injuries. All stadium entrances have been closed except for the truck tunnel, which is away from the building by a very safe distance. All workers and visitors will now enter and exit through the tunnel until further notice."

That's scary. Two square foot of snow weighs 38,000 pounds (2 tons!)according to the Today show. That's insane!! They were talking abt roofs collapsing on homes.

Everyone needs to be careful as the ice and snow start to melt in Dallas and everywhere else.

@#24, you math is way off

38,000lbs is 16 tons. and 2 quare feet of snow doe snot weigh a thing unless it has a 3rd deminsion. 2 cubic feet of snow of course has some weight, but no possible way it weighs 2 tons. We buy blocks of ice that don't weigh more then 25 lbs and go sliding down hills on them. and Ice weighs more than snow. Not sure what you heard, but you misunderstood it, or they were wrong.

Ken Hellevang, from the University of North Dakota says:

"The weight of snow varies greatly. Light fluffy snow may only weigh about seven pounds per cubic foot. More average snow may weigh 15 pounds per cubic foot and drifted compacted snow may weigh 20 pounds or more..."
