Looks like not even chief boyd could sweep this under the rug, good try though. they should have charged him when the first arrested him, they should slap a dv charge and terroristic threats for the garbage they showed last week. you cant break other peoples stuff, espically if your in a dating relationship or roommates. maybe hell fight in italy and just not come back. now that would make good tv.

First Ronnie is not Mexican, he is half Puerto Rican and half Italian. Second I saw that episode and he was provoked so he knocked him out. There is only but so much one can take. The guy deserved it and he took the first swing. You also talking about a guy who is trying to sue MTV for putting his image up there when he clearly signed a release form. He just wanted his spotlight trying to beat up a Jersey Shore member but it backfired. Now Ronnie has to deal with the consequences of his actions.

Yeah again, we all know he hit the guy. I do not see that as a crime. The guy was chasing him down the street. I doubt Ronnie gets any more than an Anger management class, if that.

I cant stand Jersey Shore and their BS...

but I've heard of this fight, the stupid little **** signed a release form for JS weeks before the fight. The dumbass picked a fight to get on TV for 5minutes, just because the brat lost the fight he picked and embarrassed himself doesn't mean he can sue for assault.

Court money won't give him back any of his dignity anyway.

Ronnie might not be the brightest bulb on the tree but he is not guilt of third degree assault. If I recall the details Stephen Izzo pursued Ronnie prior to the fight. Mr. Izzo challenged Ronnie to fight (not to smart); this is known as “fighting words”. According to the fighting words doctrine, in United States constitutional law, is a limitation to freedom of speech as protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. In 1942, the United States Supreme Court in a 9-0 decision (Chaplinsky v. New Hampshire) established this rule of law. The reality is the Mr. Izzo not Ronnie is guilty of a crime. Ronnie had a legal right to defend himself and he did not use excessive force. The sad reality is Ronnie personal success has made him a target for people that believe they have something to prove. In the future I would suggest that Ronnie learns to ignore these idiots because they are a part of his reality and fame.

Unreal. By law the definition of assault includes the use of words. Izzo clearly was threatening Ronnie and Sammie.

Ronnie's punch was self defense.
