I am very sad to hear this. Mike had so much potential if he had someone close to him to advise him instead of exploit him like the Vultures that they are. He could have started a guitar camp for at risk teens that are on the edge. He could have made a difference in hundreds and perhaps thousands of teens who are in the same spot that he is was in. He could of made a huge impact if he had the right guidance. The name Mike Starr could have went down in history as a hero to the young but instead he will be remembered as taken too young. Every youth in this nation needs a positive role model and I hope that this comment will at least encourage one person to make a difference.

I lived in Seattle and sold Xanax, Klonopin & Methadone pills up by the Methadone clinics where Mike Starr hung out. He was one of my best customers and he was a cheap prick. Nut if you caught him withdrawing of Methadone and Benzos I would run. He is a different person withdrawing. On celebrity rehab he bought enough Xanax bars abd Methadone pills to last 6 months. He wasn't withdrawing on the show. He would have been in absolute hell.

Drugs are going to take over our society in about 5 years. The media claims it's getting better but we all know drug abuse is only getting worse. Mike was a great bassist. So sad. Dr. Drew has never made a difference with his celebs. I wonder what his success rate has been during his whole career.

Today is the 4th of July and I just found out about Mike Starr. I am so sad and shocked. I thought Mike was going to beat this thing. I would like to encourage all of the people who have been on "Celerbrity Rehab" you can do it just take one day at a time and find a support group and new friends to hang out with who don't dreink or do any type of drugs or alcohol. May God help you all. May God be with Mike Starr's family during this time of great loss.Your are in my prayers. Everyone needs to quit blaming Dr. Drew for everbody's outcome they need to be held accountable for their actions after all they are adults. He gives you the tools now you have to apply them or they wont work. From Jody Siciliano from Washington.
