That is so sad. It looks like he lead a sad life too, poor guy. Imagine the only thing that you can say that you did in your life was be a bassist in a band years ago. Very very sad, I feel for the poor guy.

How sad, but I have to agree... at this point anyone asking dr. drew for help should save their dignity and money and just ask the shutterbugs, you got a better chance at survival, and sobriety.

Why are so many people blaming Dr. Drew? Most of these celebrities have been to other rehabs before join the Celebrity Rehab. You can stop if you want to! Sometimes you might need help, but is up to you. Nobody can change you, but yourself. Mike was a heroin addict! That's terrible. And on the top of that, he had too many issues... It's sad that everything ended up this way.

if anything dr. drew gave this guy another shot at life, by allowing him free treatment as well as exposure...starr got to meet and jam with his childhood hero from kiss thanks to the show...the series also gives insight into what addiction looks like and does to your life, good lesson for anyone who is young to see the outcome of consistent using...addiction is a mental illness...many people experiment and can walk away because they are just curious, and it goes against nature to wish to do harm to yourself...healthy minds don't go there, but someone with mental issues seek out escape and often it starts in their youth and they never mature beyond that point ---the addict is his/her own worst enemy and it is up to the addict to get healthy in the mind, it can be done, however rehab and doctors merely give you the tools...you must use the right tools if you wish to build anything, merely sitting on the tool chest and complaining the tools don't work, is hardly the fault of anyone else....starr was a grown man and he made a choice, he was clean at one point and had people he could reach out to thanks to the show, but he he didn't...lesson to the kiddies, nothing good can come from this type of lifestyle, it never does.

Alice in Chains were iconic for me...truly a part of my adolescence. Losing Layne destroyed part of my musical generation. I had high hopes and much faith for Mike and was very proud of the fight he put up.

Am so saddened, in the end, he did not win. I hope you've found peace Mike. I know your spirit was tortured far too long. Your music lives on, my friend.
