Jay Cutler
has cut even more ties in Colorado -- the former Denver Broncos quarterback finally sold off the mansion he lived before he was traded to Chicago ... TMZ has learned.

According to official documents, Cutler purchased the home in Parker, CO in 2005 for $1.34 million. Cutler put his home up for sale in 2010 for $1.625 ... but nobody took the bait.

Cutler eventually lowered his asking price ... and the 5,344 square foot estate finally sold on July 19 for a cool $1,000,000.

Don't feel too bad for ol' Jay -- he's slated to rake in $15 million this season ... and of course, he doesn't have a wedding to pay for anymore.

joey _ I love TMZ 'til ya piss me off!

I think Jay should pay each TMZ reader (since he has it) some cash just for reading about him. How many of YOU work your asses off, love your job and get paid an incredible amount of money to do it? I wonder what that must be like?

If he had a good financial advisor he should have been renting the property while it was for sale and pay the taxes as if it was an investment property and he could report the 340k as a capital gains loss!

Because, primary and secondary residences aren't eligible for those deductions!

wasted days and wasted nights

He probably sold it for the fans. That's why they play the game, man, for the fans. Everything for the fans, who heap millions upon them for playing in their bird or pirate or cowboy or indian costumes.

The CO mansion is in an area with MANY foreclosures. Jay was not a bad neighbor but was rarely at home. Many of his family members lived there. I know the people who lived next door to him. Probably lucky he got as much as he did. He did give out good Halloween candy!

Kristen is lucky she didn't marry him because they would have had ugly homely babies and it wouldn't have been because of her. He is a STRANGE man!

You'd have to be a moron to think you could get MORE money today for a house you bought at the peak of the market in 2005. Heck he should be happy it only lost about 25% of its value. A lot of people saw 50% drops in value or more.
