Denise Richards

Turns Down "Two and a Half Men"

She Has "Charlie" Issues

8/22/2011 12:05 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0822_DENISE_RICHARDS_THM_EX
Denise Richards has turned down an offer to appear on the premiere episode of "Two and a Half Men," because she thinks Charlie Sheen would make her life miserable.

Sources connected with the production tell TMZ ... producers offered Denise a guest starring role for the debut with Ashton Kutcher, but they say she told them she wouldn't do it because "She would never hear the end of it from Charlie."

No doubt -- Chuck Lorre is trying to stick the knife in as far as he possibly can because ... well, he hates Charlie's guts.  But we're told Denise just wouldn't play along.

Actually it makes sense to get Richards to be on the show. From what I understand they're bringing back a lot of Charlie's (the character) old girl friends for he funeral scene. Denise and Charlie (the actor) were only to happy to have her on the show as a love interest when they were still married so why not ask her back to reprise her role like they're offering all the other actresses? Sounds more like following the plot than sour grapes.

I'm glad Denise turned down Two and a Half men.She is trying to maintain a good relationship with the father of her 2 daughters and it would be hurtful if she did the show.Chuck Lorre is just looking to provoke Charlie and asking his ex wife to guest star is proof of that.Maybe Lorre really was the bad guy in all of this.

I like Ashton Kutcher, loved him on That 70s Show, but I don't think Two and a Half men is going to last.Good ratings the first 2-3 episodes then it will tank. It's just not going to be the same without Charlie.

About a year ago, on a flight from Phoenix to Chicago, I was sitting in first class next to an actor I had seen in a couple of Two and Half Men episodes. I told him I was a fan of the show. It turned out he knew a Director friend of mine who had Directed a couple of episodes and we talked all things Hollywood for the remainder of the flight. Now, all of this was before the dustup between Charlie and Chuck Lorre. We were talking Hollywood in general when this actor said that "Chuck Lorre was the biggest prick in Hollywood." I have no ax to gring with anyone just telling the facts from someone who knows both of them.

Wow, I still remember Denise Richards oscar worthy performance in that James Bond film about 10 years ago. I can't believe someone with Denise's acting ability was even offered a job, I guess Miranda Cosgrove couldn't do it because of her broken ankle?

Kind of sad that she has to give up a project that would have been $$ to her just because of possible threat and consequences. Sad to the shows boss has to play games with people. I just wi***** wasn't the woman so much that has to give up things for the man. Of course when you look at Paris H. her lifestyle is Charlie's in reverse for causing b/f's to lose jobs etc. It's a mess.

Denise previously guest-starred as one of Charlie's girlfriends.

Chuck Lorre wants to bring back women who previously guest-starred as one of Charlie's girlfriends.

Denise can't take the gig because she's afraid of Charlie's reaction.

And this is somehow Chuck Lorre's fault????

The Sheen children also said 'no' to Chuck -

- who promised all of them a recurring role on MIKE AND DOLLY and a permanent SAG card.

It Can Only Now Be Told:

-It was Chuck Lorre driving all of Charlie Sheen's Mercedes' off of the Mulholland cliff.

-Lorre thought if CS couldn't get to work?

-He'd be able to void Charlie's contract out -

-And be done with him.

Good for her. How pathetic and lowly of Lorre to do that. Why would he want to start problems with her and Charlie? Obviously this guy doesn't know that Denise is a decent humanbeing. Of course the new Two and a Half Men is going to suck. You couldn't pay me to watch it. Charlie Sheen made that show. It is dunzo!

backfire

Chuck Lorre undermines his audience and his constant jabbing at Charlie seems to be destructive to the point where I will never watch the show, not even the first episode. Denise did the right thing; she knows where her checks are signed. As for Ashton--c'mon, he may have millions of tweet fans but they can't teach him how to act.
